I recently ordered a cake from this bakery for my daughter’s birthday. Since I placed the order a day late, Shuchi was kind enough to squeeze me in, though she mentioned it would be a simple design instead of the unicorn-themed cake I had initially requested which I completely understood and appreciated.

However, the overall experience didn’t meet my expectations. I had specifically requested a low-sugar cake, but it turned out to be extremely sweet so much that my family couldn’t enjoy it. The cake itself was a basic chocolate cake with regular icing, and nothing particularly special in taste or presentation.

What disappointed me most was the price I was charged $110 for a 7-inch cake, which felt quite high for the quality and taste I received. For comparison, I later got another cake from Whole Foods that was vegan, delicious, and a fraction of the price.

I ordered a gender reveal cake from Cake Ever After Shuchi after seeing a lot of great reviews, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The cake was just a basic vanilla cake with regular icing, nothing special or unique for the price I paid. Given the hype around this bakery, I expected something more impressive in terms of taste and presentation.
