I signed up for a Unit in August of 2024. I signed up based on the favorable price even though I had to pay 4 months up front. Back story, I was getting deployed to a combat zone with the military. I informed the team on site of this as well as the people I set up the reservation with when I called. The first opportunity they got, they increased the price in two consecutive months. Since I am in another country, I obviously can't come back so they are just strong arming me because I am deployed. Unfortunately because it's not rent, I am not protected under the laws for rent while deployed, however still just shady business. Also just to be clear, when I got the notice for the first rise in monthly price, I called and explained the entire situation and asked if my price could remain at the initial agreed upon price until my return. They basically said we can give you a 50 dollar increase instead of the 100 dollar increase we had asked for. I wasn't thrilled, but agreed. Low and behold the following month they went right back to the 100 dollar increase. I try not to be the whinny veteran who thinks I'm entitled to massive discounts and favoritism, I'm just asking to not be strong armed while deployed. But profits over fair business is the standard at this business.

I called the number multiple times and got no answer, however my parents did receive a mailed notice that my monthly payment increased AGAIN! Read moreLet me start by saying that I seldom write reviews, but I couldn't be happier to write this one! I had reserved two storage rooms for a recent move from Sudbury. Our moving day turned out to be extremely stressful. The movers were unable to get all our furnishings loaded onto the truck. By the time they got to Extra Space Storage, the office was about to close. I had trouble with the gate code and was getting frustrated that it wouldn't open despite several attempts. Thank goodness Rich was still there and was extremely helpful in reprogramming the code. He recognized that I was beyond stressed and couldn't have been more patient with me. He took his time explaining all I needed to know. In addition, he noticed that when I returned days later to add more items to my unit, I hadn't replaced the lock correctly and my belongings were not secure. I wasn't exactly sure of what my space needs would be, so I made arrangements to stop in before they closed to take a look at what they had available. Before I stopped in James had taken a look at the available inventory so that he could show me what my options would be. He took the time to shuttle me around to look at each storage unit so I knew exactly what I would be getting. We settled on what we both think would fit the need, but he also left it open that I could transfer to a different setup if things don't work out. James and Jared were both easy to work with and made the rental process as quick as possible. They answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable.
