Jones Boy's Market — Local services in Ashland

Ive made many trips here in the last couple years. Until now, I was impressed by their cuts of meat and how much nicer they treated you, so I was willing to make the 30 min drive for it. A few days before Fathers Day I called in an order ahead of time. All seemed well until we got the meat out on Sunday. Now mind you I usually always check my meat after I get it home before sticking it in the freezer. Since I had never had a bad experience here I trusted it, and immediately got home to put it in the freezer. When we got the meat (half of it looked fine except for the 3 filet mignon) out no more than 3 days later, not only was it 100% spoiled, smelled awful and was brown/grey. I obviously couldn’t serve that so I had to make a walmart run last minute.

Now here is the part that upsets me. I called in first thing Monday to ask what happened/let them know and I was taken aback by how they handled the situation. After I explained very politely that it could not possibly have been my fault, the lady’s exact words were “im not sure what to tell you”. VERY displeased with their customer service skills. They’ve even got a nice selections fresh cheese sliced the way you want it. Are you small and petite and want a thin sliced steak “They’ll” cut it! You a grown man and want a 16 or 22 ounce ribeye? Jones Boy’s will be there for you! Fresh thick sliced bacon and applewood thick sliced too! Who doesn’t like bacon??? Let’s not forget about them world famous Brats!!! You call them for the flavors they have there’s to many for me to remember let alone type but be sure they’re are Great! Ask about there pulled pork BBQ days that stuffs delicious. Like bbq ribs ask them. These guys really know there meats!!! Even deli meats they’ve got you covered and you bet your sweet little self it’s fresh!!!! Excellent quality meats, including many unique bratwursts such as their legendary apple brats. These are great for breakfast with a little maple syrup. Full deli case with assorted meats and cheeses. Never had any issues with freshness.

Step back in time when you enter this historic building and visit the humble grocery store inside, it really gets the nostalgia going. Don't forget it's cash only.
