Iâve worked with CEE for 4 years now, and overall Iâve had a good experience with the company. They value dedicated, hard workers, so if thatâs you, itâs easy to fit in and do well in this company and type of work. I can count on one hand the times the work Iâve done on a CEE-booked job has been legitimately challenging; the work we do 95% of the time is very simple, straight forward work. Combine that with the extreme flexibility of schedule and you have the ideal job for someone who is in NYC to pursue other things.
Cutting Edge does a good job at putting people into lead positions who understand how to manage a small- sometimes larger- team; the team managers- aka lieutenants- submit an LT Report after each event, so the company stays updated on who is working well, who isnât, whoâs a standout employee, and also how the client is on the ground, good or bad.
The main area Iâd really love CEE to improve upon is the booking process for employees. The booking agents seem to change every few months, which makes it virtually impossible to establish any familiarity with your booking needs and habits. There is an availability calendar that has all but ceased to matter. Finally, the communication between the various booking agents seems nonexistent; CEE has quite a large staff pool, so there needs to be a central information hub that contains each employeeâs bookings, DNSâs, schedule, and more. Having this tool will allow the bookerâs to maintain up-to-date info on each employee, share it with each other, and it needs to be meaningfully referenced by each booker prior to sending offers for each job.
