Superb customer service, beautiful work, and they were stocked better than all of the shops in the area that I called. I needed a corsage for my great grandmother’s 90th birthday as my family couldn’t make the trip to Alabama. We are from Orlando and wanted to keep her safe as there’s too many Covid cases here.

I had a horrible experience with Mary Messers Flower shop in Roanoke. The owner told me that she had a slew of flowers in stock, even ran through them by name and color. She told me she would be able to make the corsage and then cancelled (the day before I needed it) she had the nerve to text me. What was weird about it is she went from having all these flowers to having nothing, absolutely nothing in stock. So unprofessional (do not shop there)

My delivery needed to be in wedowee and the only florist over there Flowers by Elaine said she had “white roses or red roses “ in stock. That’s it and she wasn’t getting anything in. This was Monday, the party was Friday. Who only sells white roses or red roses?! 90th birthday deserves so much more.

In comes the gentlemen of English Cottage Florist! They truly saved the day. We were able to send our love and our great grandma felt so super special on her special day. They made a beautiful corsage that paired so nicely with her outfit. They were fully and I mean fully stocked with a variety of flowers. Even had some novelty flowers in stock.

I wouldn’t recommend this florist to anyone for a big event. I showed them a picture of how I want in my bouquet, it was wrong. It looked nothing like it was supposed to. They did as they wanted. I ended up ordering all the tux from them as well, figured it would be convenient to knock two birds out with one stone. Unfortunately, it wasn’t so convenient at all. The day before the wedding was pick up, not only was the flowers wrong. The flowers for the cake died before the wedding, and all the vest for my groomsmen were the wrong color. There was a lack of communication between the other company & them. However I had my order correct, and they still tried to charge me extra for getting the right color in Before the wedding. It was an awful experience. Jeff one of the workers, was very rude and not understanding at all. Even though it was their mistake. However, at the end of the day they did get the right ones. I Will never use them, or suggest them to anyone ever. It was a experience that was supposed to be beautiful, that turned into a disaster. Simply because communication was thrown out the window. They would not take responsibility for their Mistakes, and tried to charge me extra for that. If it wasn’t for the other company, I still would’ve had to pay extra to get the right color that I ordered in the first place to me before...

The owner of this shop (Jody) was incredibly pleasant to work with over the phone and through text messages. We never met in person. The casket flowers English Cottage created for my father’s funeral were precisely what we requested were based on a photograph we shared through a text message. The artistry and execution of the work were magnificent. The price quote was reasonable, not inexpensive, yet one should expect to pay a reasonable price for the quality of work this shop produces.
