Wanted to give 5 stars to my instructor Chris and the other staff at ACCC. Since moving to the area last summer, I wanted to find a winter sport to my liking, cross-country skiing looked like a great thing to do since I am in my 70s. I've taught high-speed driving for over 3 decades and know what makes a great instructor, Chris fulfilled this and more. I'd never skiied in my life and he got me on the right equipment, calmed any anxieties I felt and had my technique going in the right direction along with being friendly and supportive. This is one of the best Nordic Venues in the Rockies. The Ski shop is excellent and the trails are fantastic. No charge if you have your own gear. The Nordic complex extends across the road through two tunnels. Lots of fun people to meet and watch. The only down side is kerosene odor from the private jets taking off down the valley. Stopped by here to pick up some hiking gear and ended up speaking for a while to one of the technicians there who gave us a lot of great advice for winter hikes in the area. We followed his recommendations had a blast.
