Barnett and Swann Home Furnishings — Local services in Athens

We purchased furniture from Barnett and Swann 5 June 2024. There was an issue with an ottoman when it was delivered. Delivery personnel noted the issue and contacted Barnett & Swann store personnel and sent a picture of the issue. At the end of June we went to the store to check on the status of repair of the ottoman and were asked to submit a picture of the issue. While moving furniture to take the picture we noticed an issue with the love seat we purchased.

The issues were there was a foreign object under the fabric on the ottoman and on the back of the loveseat the fabric was coming loose and staples were exposed.

We notified Delanna at Barnett & Swann and sent pictures. To date (September 30, 2024) we have heard nothing from Delanna at Barnett & Swann. Barnett & swann has been totally unresponsive in dealing with us on these issues and at times downright rude. The only time we heard from the store was when we contacted them. Personnel have rude and unresponsive. I would not recommend buying anything from Barnett & Swann. We had purchased several items from them in the past but based on this experience we will shop elsewhere.

I LOVE this store. The selection is incredible, the fact that you buy right off the floor or have something ordered if you need to was amazing. We were on a tight schedule and they went above and beyond to accommodate.

Prices were great too! We went to several stores before this one (and didn’t buy a thing). This store is definitely a one-stop-shop!

Delanna, our salesperson, was SO helpful! She offered lots of suggestions, she was so cheerful and just a pleasure to work with. I had a couple of follow-up calls the next day (after the sale was already made) and she was just as cheerful and helpful as before the sale.

Even the delivery men were so polite and showing us every little thing.

I have worked long distance with a lovely person named Delanna. She was very accommodating, concerned and attentive. It is very hard selecting furniture without sitting on it, seeing it in person and feeling it. Delanna made the process easy, answering all the questions I needed answered. The furniture is for my brother who is 80, who fell on ice and broke his hip in two places and dislocated his shoulder. I was so worried being long distance and with COVID not being able to visit. Delanna made me feel confident with the process. My hope is that Barnett and Swann realizes what an assert they have in Delanna and award her for this.
