Dwight and his crew did good work in a challenging situation. Packing up and moving from a long time family home made for an emotional day for our family, and Dwight's entire team was sensitive to the situation, tactful, respectful, and responsive when our family had our emotional moments and conflicts, all while staying focused on getting the work done in a timely manner. Family Movers really is a "family values" oriented business, and their attention to our own family's struggles that day was really appreciated.

As a business man I have nothing but praise for the way Dwight handled the planning and money side of this move. He was responsive to phone calls and texts in the weeks leading up to the move date, and he was upfront about anticipated challenges and additional costs as they arose. There were no surprise charges or unexpected additional costs. I felt the overall price was more than fair for the services supplied and quality of work.

Dwight's crew took an overstuffed, cluttered, disorganized four bedroom farm house, packed it all up safely, loaded it onto moving vans, AND cleaned the entire home in 12 hours. We drove the vans to our new home ourselves, and nothing was broken or damaged when we arrived at our destination. We were able to unload everything without any problems, and we were able to find everything (including small parts and hardware to reassemble furniture).

Wow, my wife and I are in awe! This family owned, family operated business, gave us the best experience imaginable! Carl, Carl, and Jenae (sorry if I spelled you're name wrong 🤣) worked so hard for us, going up and down stairs on a hot day, and had a smile on their faces the entire time. Kids today can learn a thing or two from Carl Jr. and Janae as they have been taught a valuable lesson in hard work from their father and mother which clearly shows in their work ethic. If you are moving your home, apartment, office, or any other space, I highly recommend Family Movers of Vermont. The movers left only an hour ago, and I couldn't wait to get on Google and leave this review as I was so excited and satisfied with the service that we received. You can't beat the service and dedication that this family has to offer! This is the first time we've ever met this family, and the first time we've ever used a service like this. If we ever have to use a moving service again it will most definitely be Family Movers of Vermont, but if we do not it was still a blessing to meet this family and see the hard work that they do every single day without any complaints and with a smile on their faces. Good: owner was responsive, answered all my questions, good price, on time, friendly employees

Bad: team showed up prepared for unloading a truck, not loading a truck as I discussed at length during booking. They didn’t have any supplies and I had to pay for their time to go to a store to buy straps. This almost meant delay to schedule. They very careless loaded, again probably due to not being prepared. Lots of furniture discovered damaged when unpacking. Was told they’d help take apart furniture and had tools (legs off chairs, etc). They didn’t have any tools, made for difficult maneuvering. Despite all this, charged full price.

Edit after owners comments: when booking I specifically asked about straps and moving supplies and who would provided. You said you would and I’d purchase. I did provide three dozen moving blankets, the team used half. I also specifically asked if your team would remove legs and other such items, you replied the team would come with tools and happy to help. That is why they were left.
