One less star for the thing that they can’t control - the weather. For early summer a bitterly cold wind blew hard and the Grand Prix was impacted because of that. How interesting that a sporting event that attracts a great collection of fine jumpers and equally fine riders, and that boasts good prize money, gets no publicity on local television or much else. Maybe it would be criticized as an elitist sport and so not politically acceptable for news or sports broadcasting. But there’s no doubting the competitiveness of young girls, women, and men, and some extraordinary horses who strive to excel in an activity that takes real courage some 12 feet up off the ground and facing jumps at five to six feet high. Dangerous stuff!
Beautiful location, set in spectacular california countryside, with magnificent oaks sprinkled over the hills like huge patriarchs and matriarchs awaiting visitors. The center is actually one of several that spread over an area that can’t be seen unless you are up there.
Spectacular! Search on the internet for horse events at this location and you’ll see what and when. Call and make sure that they are public events otherwise you may not be able to get in.

Now it is a horrible place to stay, customer service and maintenance SUCKS! 3 days no hot water in the 2 showers on the property and when u ask facility to take care.of this they say "showers are a privelege". Since mgr has stated he doesnt like reiners and says they are entitled wimps like the jumpers, not sure who he likes and thinks are worthy of the privelege of a warm shower,?
