Winthrop Rockefeller Institute — Local services in Atkins

Excellent classrooms and common areas, first class food and accommodations, comfortable rooms, this is a place I would like to spend some serious mountain time. Unfortunately it is only open for meetings and groups. I was part of the Arkansas Master Naturalists BioBlast that was held there so we spent much time outside. They have a fishing pond that is well stocked with bream a pollinator garden and plenty of nearby trails. Several have waterfalls and the front fountains have a variety of frogs to entertain at night. There is a big barn for dances and weddings. Petit Jean State Park is nearby and has additional trails to petroglyphs, waterfalls. It would be a great place for class reunions, business getaways or...

This an amazing place to come and see. They offer a wide variety of activities and the facilities are wonderful. The Made From Scratch classes are a lot of fun. Chef does a wonderful job teaching about the food, ingredients, preparation methods, and the science of cooking. Their Table for Two events are also amazing and you get to cook your own food and stay the night, if you choose, at the lodge. I have not used them as a venue yet but when I have seen them host parties it always is well done. I would highly recommend taking a class or hosting...

This place is primarily used as a conference Center. To stay at the hotel you must be attending a conference. I attended a special Walks with the Governor workshop, highlighting the contributions of the Rockefeller family and Governor Rockefeller to the state of Arkansas.
