The accommodations are fantastic. We spent the night in the Callahan Lodge complete with open bar, a pool table, house snack basket for the kids and a refrigerator full of water and soft drinks. The evenings appetizers were bacon wrapped quail meat and fried oysters. They were delicious. Dinner was prime rib and lunch was fried chicken, field peas, collards and fried corn bread. A Mixed Bag of Feelings For This Place. Very Beautiful Area and Surroundings, Top of The Line. The Staff Is Mostly Very Friendly and Helpful, But We Did Encounter a Few Who Were Extremely Prejudiced and Unreasonable. I Am Told That The Owners Has Corrected The Situation, and Insisted Guilty Parties Make Career Changes. Thank You Owners, For Making Adjustments. It was alright, service unfortunately slow, they either forgot what my husband's boss ordered for company's dinner or didn't have it. My husband said the salad was a hefty serving and the dressing was memorable, but because service was slow he had to leave before the main course. Perhaps better planning would make this rating five stars but must give three as things did not go well for company's Christmas Party. ...
