Four Fillies Farm — Local services in Aubrey

I've never written a Google review so this is my first one but I feel I owed it to Chuck and the wonderful experience we had on his farm. We were in the area, tulip picking, when my friend's 3 year old was fascinated by the horses as we drove over. I called the number listed here and Chuck picked up immediately. We literally were on his farm in an hour and he had the pony ready and made our little one ride on it for more than 40 mins. The horses and the ponies were so friendly that a couple of them simply sprinted towards us to be petted and fed. Clearly, it shows when animals have been taken good care of that they love being around humans rather than turning away from them. His two boys also raise chickens so we got free-range, organic eggs for only $3.50/dozen, the cheapest I have found in Texas for good, wholesome eggs. Lastly, we were a bunch of headscarf-wearing Muslim women who showed up in his backyard. With the current election season, we were a little bit worried of encountering country folks but Chuck was so friendly and welcoming that he left us with nothing more than faith in humanity! Must...

My 8 yo niece has wanted to learn to ride and I was referred to Chuck and Four Fillies by a friend. The first day orientation and one hour lesson was a joy to watch and an even greater joy for my niece to experience. Her horse was highly trained and allowed her to gain confidence and learn control walking and trotting in a shaded creekside and creekbed setting. By the end of her second lesson she was walking, trotting and some galloping with control up and down the banks of the creekbed. My son took his gf horseback riding for her birthday. She had never ridden before and was quite nervous. They both had a fabulous time! I made all the reservations for them and felt absolutely at ease with them going alone. The owner responded online in a very timely manner and took time to answer my 10 million qùestions. My son said their guide was very knowledgeable and very patient. He made sure that the inexperienced rider had the calmest horse and allow them to take their time in order to get comfortable.
