Recently placed a small order gallon of sweet almond oil and a book. Order arrived and oil leaked inside the box, protective stuffed paper inside and through the outside of the box. I sent my order number and this information to customer service via email, along a video picture showing the product. I had this issue before when I made my 1st order a few years ago. Oil leakage, other smashed damaged products, including oil stained book that wasn't wrapped/protected..Atleast the book was this time. They fixed the issue then and replaced oil/products and would remedy the issue for future purchase. Customer service was great. Someone actually called me.
The response after receiving the pic from this recent order was, " shipping was made aware of the issue, but the amount of oil was very little, and they would be sure to watch how it is packaged and shipped going forward. Have a great day" Although, I received a response, I felt that due to the "small amount" lost, my concern was not valid.
My response was, "We am a very small business that produce in small batches. We can't afford to purchase in medium or large bulk amounts. Products are expensive and any amount of leakage matters to us. We paid for a certain amount and that amount should reach us. We feel some type of compensation is fair..small credit for future orders or instant coupon that can be used without a specified order amount". They responded and offered us a code to use for 10% off my next order. We appreciated that, but feel that it is important that the leakage issue be prevented..maybe by wrapping an extra protective tape around the top neck area. I love ordering from here and love their products, but need it all to reach me. There has to be a way to ensure that. Again, this is just my experience with this specific issue and hopefully my last. Iāve given this supplier multiple chances, but unfortunately, I can no longer stay silent about the repeated dishonesty in fulfilling orders. Over the past few months, Iāve placed several ordersāfor jars, lids, bottles, and preservativesāand nearly every single time, the quantity has been short.
I initially thought I had miscounted or misplaced items, but after careful recounting and tracking, I realized this was not a mistake on my end. For example, I recently ordered a pack of 50 jars and received only 39, with only 32 matching lids. This has happened at least five times, causing major delays and forcing me to reorder just to complete a batch of products.
Whatās even more frustrating is that instead of contacting me about low stock, they just substitute items without consent. One time I ordered amber bottles, and they sent a mix of amber and black without notifying me. I also received a 16oz bottle of preservative that was filled halfwayācompletely unacceptable.
Even when I pay extra for expedited shipping, my orders arrive late, but the shipping delay is the least of my concerns compared to the consistent dishonesty in whatās actually being sent. I like the quality of the products, which is the only reason I stayed as long as I did, but the lack of integrity and transparency is unacceptable.
