I don’t typically leave reviews, but never in my life have I felt more like a princess. A lot of the Indian outfits and lenghas I own currently have been bulky, too big, and really uncomfortable. Despite their beautiful craftsmanship, it didn’t feel right.

With my best friend’s wedding coming up, I was on the hunt for a new lengha that I could wear, was fitted for me, and most importantly, I could dance in. I met Meenu Didi at an Indian festival. We arranged to meet up (the communication was seamless), and I was able to pick my favorite from a great selection. Meenu Didi did not rush me and let me try on as many choices as I wanted. She took my measurements and a few weeks later, I went back to try it on.

To say I had a confidence boost would be an understatement. Not only did I feel gorgeous but the outfit actually fit me amazingly. Meenu Didi made a few alterations on the spot and I was out of there in no time. The whole process from start to finish took no more than four weeks.

Meenu is wonderful! We needed to outfit an entire wedding party and had no clue where to start. We visited a number of shops in San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Denver before finding Meenu. She is by far the kindest and most helpful person we met in our search. We bought 5 outfits, and she even custom made a dress for our infant niece! All of her pieces are high quality, and her tailoring is top-notch. Even when we needed multiple alterations for my finance’s lengha, she gladly did them all and it turned out perfect. Meenu was wonderful! I took fabric to her and she made me a beautifully fit, ready to wear saree. As someone who is ignorant about how a saree is supposed to fit, she was attentive and helpful and showed me how to make it fit properly. It was a quick turnaround, even though I told her I wasn’t in a rush. Had I known that Meenu’s shop was full of beautiful sarees and fabric, I’d have gone to her first.
