Sertodo Copper — Local services in Austin

This product is amazing! I have been using a PUR filter for the last few years, and wanted a more sustainable - and aesthetic - alternative. I could not be happier with the Sertodo Sana Vida Copper Water Filter System! It is an absolutely beautiful addition to my home and the quality of the water is incomparable. The tap water I put in the filter is marginally ok tasting, but not particularly enticing. The filter not only removes PFAS, bacteria, chlorine, cysts, micro plastics, heavy metals, pesticides and pharmaceuticals, but the water ends up tasting fantastic. The longevity of the filters (6-800 gallons or 1 year) was attractive to me because I was becoming frustrated replacing filters every few months and throwing the plastic away each time.

In doing research about filters, there are a few reasons I chose this one. I just moved to a new apartment, and while I was deciding which gravity filter to buy, I was using the fridge filter, which kept dripping onto the fridge and the floor, and leaving streaks. If something breaks in the fridge filter, it is significantly harder to fix than simply buying additional filters to put in the gravity system. The beauty of the copper was unmatched. Additionally, there are health benefits of drinking water from copper that amplify the quality of the water from the filters (anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, immune support). I was a little concerned that the copper would tarnish and affect the quality of the water, but I did some research and learned that it’s not a concern. Putting the system together could not have been easier. Everything came with clear instructions and it took 15 minutes, including washing out the copper and the spout.

I was also really excited to buy from Sertodo. It’s a small company that works directly with the artisans in Michoacan that are continuing a tradition that goes back generations, and that is exactly the type of business I want to support. I contacted the company about receiving 4 filters, instead of the standard 2, and the direct customer service made the exchange smooth, pleasant and efficient.
