My yearly trek to Youngstown, from Massachusetts, to visit my best friend and family always allows for a trip to Rulli’s Brothers on Kirk Rd. What do I always get? Ham salad. It’s the best I’ve ever had. I have tried many, but nothing had ever come close to it. Besides fresh produce and meats, and always very friendly staff, this store goes above and beyond. Today was no different. Apparently the deli was out of my beloved Ham salad, and had no plans on making any until later on this evening. I pleaded my case that I come once a year for this delicious delightful concoction of ham, relish and love. Well, the workers asked if the salad could be made, and they said YES!!!! My friend and I hung around, and in 30 glorious minutes, I was walking away with a LARGE container of my beloved Ham salad. Now, I’m relaxing, enjoying a full belly of Ham salad from Rulli’s. I Wanted to thank the deli staff for making at least one customer very happy. Even if I come once a year. Thanks for making me feel special. And I’ll be seeing...
Read moreFew people have told me the veggies were always cheaper there so I went and checked it out myself because where I live I don't get a sales flyer in the mail for Rulli's I used to many years ago but don't anymore. And for some strange reason I've been craving a salad so lettuce a little pricey at a few other stores for the size of the head I think so I went there and it was cheaper and a few other items were about average priced and a few items were above average price. I know they used to have a good steam it bag veggies but now they don't the one they have now it's over priced for the size of veggies you get in the bag, it says 3 servings and 1 serving is 1 cup and 1 cup of broccoli and cauliflower and carrots isn't much it's very few pieces basically I can fit the 3 serving in my hands and that 1 bag isn't 1 serving for myself alone it would take 3 bags to make 1 serving for me. @$1.99 a bag too much for my pocket and...
Read moreI’m from Philadelphia area originally and moved out to northeast Ohio a few years ago. I’m still learning all the different local places to get groceries. Rulli Bros has the best prices for a lot of Italian ingredients. Their specials & sales can’t be beat and I love checking out the Norpro kitchen gadgets before checking out. I get all my meatloaf meats here and when they have their weekly special on meat I fill my freezer with the max permitted quantities.
Their Rulli Bros pasta sauce is excellent! Their pasta selection can’t be beat by any other stores selection and their fresh spices are the best prices I’ve ever found. I used to purchase Tones Italian seasoning and no longer need it because I can get every single spice here and make my own. I had never used ground thyme, rosemary and other spices ground when making soups but it has really improved my recipes by kicking up the depth of flavor from the...
