Warning! Read this if you're considering working for first shift!!
Sabin, the team lead at Volkswagen (which is the aera I worked at) and I guess door line now (According to what my ex coworkers told me. She was in charge of door line for the last week i was working there but wasn't sure if that was temporary or not) is one the most abusive team leads I ever experienced. I witnessed her harassing and bullying me and my ex coworkers (I don't work there anymore thankfully)
Sabin micro manages, lashed out at me for trying to ask a question about a part to the guy who is in charge of examining parts to see if they can be used for the final product, she also got upset with me about something that has never been communicated to me before, but Sabin and supervisor Jacob act like it was common knowledge to know, but when I told my coworkers at time about it, they all told me they never heard of such a rule before.
I use to volunteer on Saturday's, we would usually ask the lead who was responsible for Saturdays if we can come, Sabin found out I did that and said I couldn't do that anymore, because she thought it was unfair for other workers because she thinks I'm stealing someone else's job, and I told her "If that were actually true, the person in charge on Saturday's would have told me that" her face got red and told me I wasn't listening and said I just can't anymore.
One of my ex coworkers even quit because of Sabin. She made the poor girl cry for a very dumb reason, she never reported the incident to HR because she told me HR doesn't take workers complaints seriously, which I can confirm that's true in my experience. I filed a complaint to HR about only one of my poor experiences I had with Sabin.
Sometimes I wonder if I had reported more of my poor experiences with Sabin would have made a difference for HR to actually do something about it and take my complaints more seriously, A part of me doubts that, but I wish I had at least tried.
One day I snap and was fed up by Sabin by telling her how I felt about her unfiltered, and how she responded to my criticisms and complaints kinda bold my blood, she said "well sorry i have standards" like how is being a unbearable harasser and bully show that you have standards? It shows that you're insecure and pathetic more than anything. I had managers and team leads who have standards and never had behaviors that are so poor like Sabin.
Got fired for it, and I didn't even care that I got fired, what bothered me way more is that they told me that Sabin does nothing wrong and there are no complaints about her, which I know for a fact that's a lie, because several people reported Sabin, they just don't care and have a werid strong bias for Sabin. So if you decide to work at nifco on first shift in Volkswagen or door line area and she messes with you and try to report it to HR, I warn you that they won't care and they will do nothing about it and would most likely take Sabin's side and any other team lead or supervisor in general.
Nifco in general has poor management, poor communication, so disorganized, they don't care about you and your well being.
Only pros I can think of is that they have good insurance, give you a 1000 dollar bonus if you get hired in full time after being under the temp agency, and pay you well for the pretty easy work that you do, and the workers that i experienced there are good people to be around, you just have to deal with the BS that I mentioned above. Shout out to Shane, Darrell, the team lead who's at molding on first shift (sorry i forgot her name đ ) and my ex coworkers, they're the real one's that make working there just a little more bearable for me. Many workers could not do it anymore and they quit and I believe many others will fallow to quit . New faces every day... The whole place is a completely BS and the points system itâs a mess. If you punch in 1 minute late you get 1/2 point right away. If you are sick and have proof that you were really sick you get another point with your Dr. note âcryingâ in your hands. So according to their mentality you better come to work if you are sick! The inventory itâs another mess and they ask you to cancel your plans and come Sundays to fix it otherwise you will get another non sense point regardless if you like it or not! Osha workplace First aid Kits â a disaster. I cut my finger (accidents happen). I looked everywhere for a first aid kit. Finally I found one at the end of warehouse .Covered with dust and it was locked! They keep hiring forklift drivers but they donât have forklifts or stand ups available for everyone! Short breaks : 10 and 20 minutes. The 10 minutes one is ridiculous. For example : after you left your work area - went to the restroom - locker room - used the microwave to warm up your food and when you are ready to sit down and eat you are noticing that everyone is getting up and going back to work because your break itâs already over. Perhaps next day if you want to enjoy your 10 minutes break , leave your work area running, donât use the bathroom because that cost time and forget the microwave. Sit down eat your peanut butter sandwich cracker or donât eat anything and hurry up because you have to go back otherwise youâll be written up or held accountable! During the hot summers bring your own ice!! because a multi-billionaire company like this canât afford to buy or lease an ice dispenser for workers!    Read moreI have been at nifco KTW almost 3mths, so far I like it very much compare to other plants I have worked for. It's still a new company and still growing in establishing a team of associates that care about becoming one mindset of making this company great. To be the future plant that grows continuously for this area and comunity. Since I have come I have seen where it's providing more options in the break area, the plant is always clean and cool. They are hiring more in different departments, the only one that leave are ones that are inexperienced in manufacturing. Nifco KTW is doing everything to make this company SHINE with continuous impovements in Safety, Quality products, Standarizations of Customer specifications internal and external, JIT products.
