I bought a John Deere 2640 from Neff that was sold to me as “running, driving, ready to work tractor.” The first time I hooked an implement to the 3 point I realized it had a massive leak from the Rockshaft, which lifts the 3 pt. When I talked to Neff about it they said they would search for a replacement, but you can no longer get them new and they said “we won’t get a used one.” 3-4 weeks pasted without a word, called several times and the sales manager wouldn’t return my calls. I ended up having mine sleeved from a machine shop and brought in the receipt to the sales manager. He spoke with the owner and they said they would give me less than half of what the repair to install it because “we negotiated on the price when you bought it, and the pervious owner never said this tractor had problems.” Extremely poor customer service, no returning phone calls, sales manager was constantly arrogant when he talked to me. Front tires were both replaced because they both had holes in them and were plugged. The techs never told me anything about the repairs or issues with the machine.
