I chose to join here and not PSC for a number of reasons. I like the fact that I do not need to be a member of the NRA, they do not have a 2 second rule, and the safety officers are welcoming and really helpful without being on a power trip. The outdoor pistol range is nice and covered where it needs to be. Targets are hung and rolled out up to 25 yards without going cold. This would be a really good place for beginner, novice, and even some advanced shooters. Cons would be the hours of operation are very, very short for the pistol area, which is a shame. Read moreWhen I moved to BI I didn't expect to find a pistol range. I thought I'd have to go to Seattle or Bremerton to find a good indoor pistol range. But somehow I came across the Sportsmen's Club and it has an indoor range that has everything I need.
And the members are as helpful as can be when I've wanted to ask someone a question about how to do something as I'm pretty new at this. They also have some classes I might take that are taught by a retired BI police officer.
I don't shoot Trap or Archery but they have fully-lighted ranges for both. Great idea for wintertime in the NW. And when the rifle range gets finished I might try that. All in all it's a great resource...
