*NOTE* DO NOT GO AROUND PICKING UP OWLS. THEY ARE DANGEROUS! I knew what I was doing and had been shown how to do it properly on a seperate occasion.... This place is amazing! I found an injured barred owl on the side of the road. When my gf called they said they would stay open for us so we could drive the 20+ minutes out to them. When we got there everyone was very kind, and excited to be able to take the owl. They stayed open an extra hour for us when all said and done. They also gave us a receipt with his intake number so we could call and check on him. I have called twice and both times the person on the phone was very polite and took the time to tell me all the updates on Hamilton(owls name). I made a donation because I could tell these people love what they do and take great care of the animals at their facility!

Extremely caring and helpful staff! Helped me keep this little one comfy until he could get seen for some parasitic pests. Please donate towards their care when you drop off so they can continue to help more future kitsap critters! Did not know not costs $75 a week to care for an injured squirrel/small mammal! Thank you for all you do!

I had the opportunity to do a Photography education event here a couple of weeks ago, great staff, they take amazing care of the rescues. If you’re interested in birds and wildlife, reach out to them for their educational offerings.

I was directed to take a baby bunny we rescued from our cat into All Creatures Animal Hospital, and WSWS was going to pick him up.

When I arrived at All Creatures, they took the bunny from me and took him to the back room. I asked if I could get an update of how he was doing, when he got to WSWS and All Creatures said “oh, we are just going to euthanize him...WSWS directed us to”.

I realize that baby bunnies aren’t likely to live without their mothers, but don’t outright lie to me. Since this happened, I’ve had 2 friends reach out and tell me the same thing happened. They once euthanized an entire nest.

Don’t tell me “we will take great care of him” if you’re just going...

Do not take baby bunnies here. Try to return them back to the nest or take them somewhere else. They just end up killing the poor babies. I was lied to. They said they were going to do what they could to help them. I was in tears. Do NOT take any small creature that is not a prey hunting animal. My parents rescued a baby bird from a crow. The baby bird got taken from its nest. It is not hurt. She said she was going to bring it to these people but I told her she shouldn't. They would probably just euthanize it because it's not what they consider a prey animal. We are taking care of it. I will NEVER go back to Bainbridge "rescue" again. I don't even think this place...
