I was in the area for a weekend getaway. I saw online that Jollay Orchards had apple cider tasting in Grandpa's Cider mill. When we arrived the parking was in the grass. Since it had been raining for a few days it was really muddy and we almost got stuck while trying to leave.

Their site is a bit confusing to me. They call the fall season a "Fall Festival" but it's not a festival at all. There's hardly anything to do. And if you want to do anything besides visit the market you have to pay $10 per person for a wristband. There were a lot of cute photo opportunities in the Free section. The market was incredible So much to choose from. Apples of course, preserves, jams, jellies, pasta sauces, marinades, salad dressings salsas, pickled veggies, honey, butters, and more. The prices were high but I expect that from an orchard.

We also got hot apple cider and half a dozen donuts at checkout. Those donuts were seriously the best ones I've had in my entire life. I'm going to have dreams about those. 😂 I asked the cashier if a wristband was needed to visit Grandpa's Cider Mill to do the taste testing. She told me they don't do that anymore. It took up too much room so now it's just used for apple pressing. That was disappointing since that's why we came. I would have done 3 stars but the market was great and the donuts...

Great quality fruits, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic market and fun for the whole family! I can see why some people would call it "run down" in other reviews because the things here are old. But just because they are old doesn't mean they are bad. Our kids love to play in the play area, pick their own fruit, ride around the property on hay bales pulled by tractors. Fishing is fun and it's always fun to take pictures with all of the cutouts and other things out front when you get there. The pumpkin patch in the fall is fun. The maze is not one you will get lost in, it's for kids. I seriously don't understand how anyone could say they didn't like the cider. This is the best cider I've ever tasted and the cider donuts are soooo good! Fall doesn't feel complete without them. The frozen apple cider is a family favorite of ours! 🍎🍏🍑🫐🍒🎃🍇 Many things to come and pick throughout...

Went there for apple picking, I can't recommend it. The value simply isn't there. For a small bag of apples, they charge $20, and admission of $10 per person on top of that. I can get it at the store or a roadside stand for $5. Other apple-picking places will charge that much for a much larger quantity. We honestly only wanted to go apple picking. Since we had to buy admission, we decided to do the other activities. The 'corn maze' was more of a 'weed path' to me, easy to see where you are the entire time, as the weeds were not that tall, and it was just a series of 3 loops. Maybe for the little ones, it is good, though our 5-year-old did not enjoy it. There are definitely better actual corn mazes around. This 'fishing pond' was also a bit of a joke. The best part was the haunted house, though likely since my expectations were so low by that point. My kid did like...

It's an okay orchard in Michigan with great playground for kids. Apple trees aren't marked though. This, either you know your apples, or you have no idea what you are picking. Prices weren't not really competitive, considering that you have to walk through the orchard to pick them yourself. The hay ride seemed a bit unsafe with straw cubes placed directly into a flat trailer without rails
