Mount Auburn Cemetery — Local services in Baltimore

This cemetery is one depressing place. Considering how.many notable African Americans are resting eternally there, you'd think this place would be more care for the land.. If it wasn't for Martin O'Mallly that place sould be in even worst ruins thN it is as he was the one who had the people from jails go out there and cut the grass and what not. Unfortunately everytime I have gone in the cemetery, I have sunken into the ground and fallen. Once I even had to have my boyfriend come help.pull my foot that was stuck over a foot deep in the ground. The people left in charge of the grounds outta be ashamed...

My mother baby brother is buried here this place is sickening stones knocked down all over the place weeds every where i had a plaque made I can't take it and leave it now cause the gates are locked now last time i talk to someone they told me to give them 25.00 and they will find my mothers grave but I already knew where it was ain't that something I pray that someone will soon come forward and do something to that cemetery soon and make it where as though people can visit and bring flowers and be beautiful like a...

I was told about the condition of the cemetery and went out to check. Sorry to say it wad really bad. Y the large gate was closed but not locked so I drove onto the grounds. I try and clear as many Veteran markers as possible during my visits. I would be willing to assist anyone that may need help with trying to get the grounds cleaned up.
