Wonderful folks here. They have trees imported that are already cut if you don't want to cut your own. Great pricing either way, and a beautiful scenic drive(from San Antonio). My family and I only went for a Christmas tree this time, but I look forward to visiting these folks again Next year. They told me that the weekend after Thanksgiving is the best time to get a Christmas tree there because two or three weeks later, a lot of the prime trees have been cut and sold. Still, even though I was late this year picking a tree, they had a vast inventory of gorgeous trees. If you like the country life and sense of pride in being a lumberjack for a short time, this is the place for you. Everyone I spoke with looked me in the eye, introduced themselves, and gave a firm handshake. We spent 2 hours there till we found the tree we cut, and every second was worth more than the money we paid these fine folks. I highly recommend Pipe Creek tree farm. Cheers, and...
Read moreI was really hoping for this to be a great experience. I do not think this can be called a pumpkin patch... It might be good for Christmas trees but there were about thirty pumpkins on a table. We did receive a free tree on the way out because I think they realized we were unhappy. I drove an hour and spent almost $50 for 4 people to get in and two pumpkins. To boot, all of the ladies at the entrance were not wearing masks and a lot of the guests were also not wearing masks. I don't think it's necessary after the check in when it's more open but there were a lot of people standing around in close proximity near the entrance/exit.
Maybe it's only a NE thing but I remember going to actual farms with hundreds of pumpkins to choose from. Sadly my kids were disappointed.
I did do research and based it on reviews I read... Pictures are deceiving as we're the reviews. We may check out another...
Read moreThe first year we went-2019 we had an amazing time. We got to choose a tree and measure it with one of their poles before cutting it and taking it home. In 2020 we decided not to go because of covid, and this year when we went, everything had changed. You couldnt choose any tree, only the one with a tag on it that had the size and price, and every tree left with a tag had a huge gap in it, or was crooked. We were told up front there were only 70 or so leftwith a tag. There were many beautiful trees we loved but they didnt have a tag and it was disheartening each time we saw a gorgeous one only to get closer and see it didnt have a tag. I grew up going to christmas tree farms so cutting a tree down holds a special place in my heart and I have never heard of the tag policy before. There is also no mention of this on their website. Sadly, we wont be back until they change...
