Crimson Clover Floral — Local services in Bangor

We chose Crimson Clover Floral for our October, 2024 wedding and we do not regret it! If we had to do it again, we would absolutely still choose Jess and her business. She is so very kind, thoughtful, creative, open minded and willing to work with you! I was running behind on booking a florist and panicking a bit, but was lucky enough to have found Jess. We got so many compliments on our bouquets and table arrangements. They were so gorgeous and exactly what we had in mind!!! Jess was very gracious and met with me in person at her shop to go over what my (soon to be) husband and I had in mind. In my experience, the wedding industry seems to be very heavily geared towards the bride and tends to ignore the groom. Jess did not do this! She whole-heartedly embraced the fact that my groom had some strong opinions and ideas on what he wanted to see for florals and did not dismiss him and his views. She was patient and waited for me to go home and discuss the decision with my groom and did not pressure me into booking her. She also sent me home with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers to show my groom, which was really nice to be able to see, smell and touch the petals. After about a week's discussion, and also meeting with another florist and speaking with a third one over the phone, we did end up booking Jess and the rest of the process went very smoothly and happily. She was very professional with a written up contract with clearly stated financials. She responded quickly to our questions and was flexible with changes. If there was something we asked that she couldn't do (due to my late booking), she was honest and explained why she couldn't. I really appreciated that she didn't just tell me yes and then I find out later that it didn't happen. Not everyone is that honest! The day of our wedding, she called me with some instructions and had two assistants drop off the florals in their vases to our venue. I did have some questions once I saw the florals, so the assistant was able to call Jess and talk through my questions. For brides and grooms reading this review, I just want you to know that although there are many florists in the area, there was only one who made both of us feel comfortable and included, our voices being heard and our coming together as bride and groom supported. She encouraged us both to make the decision and did not say or imply "well you are the bride so you make the choice." or "well, you left it down to the wire, so you better make a decision right now". She made sure that we both were on the same page, which can sometimes be a challenge with all the little details and decisions that go into planning a wedding. She also did not pressure us into making a decision and writing a check on the spot. When you meet with potential wedding vendors, please keep in mind these key points and don't panic! 10000% stop looking for a florist and trust yourself in the hands of Jessica. She was attentive to what I wanted, had great communication and kept us in the loop the entire process. She even shared images of her progress as a quick moment to “smell the flowers” which I greatly appreciated in the hustle and bustle of the days leading up to our wedding. Jess was amazing! She did the flowers for our whole wedding; center pieces, corsages, and boutonnières. At the first consult we went over colors and a general idea of what I wanted but she went above & beyond my expectations.
