BEWARE of shady return policies. I went here for the first time yesterday. Bought over $60 worth of stuff at 5pm on Tuesday. The cashier asked me if I wanted a receipt, I said no. I was holding a baby and a ton of clothes with no bag. Most modern places accept returns without a receipt.
One of the things I got was a necklace. Got home, tried it on and realized it didnât fit around my neck. The tag was still attached. Came back at 12:00pm the next day, Wednesday, as soon as I could.
The woman at the counter proceeds to tell me a need a receipt. Why the hell would you ask me if I wanted a receipt the day before if your return policy REQUIRES a receipt? Just give it to me. Offering implies that I wonât need it for returns. This is partially my fault. But I figure they can look at the camera or something because I was literally in there less than 24 hours prior.. nope.
Next problem is apparently they donât offer returns for jewelry. The cashier points to a sign that was COVERED on the counter next to the register. The same counter where you put your clothes down OVER the sign?? She even had to move a piece of paper which was partially covering the sign. What an awful placement. Not ONCE was it mentioned at check out that they donât accept returns for jewelry. If you donât accept returns on certain items your employees need to be trained to let customers know this while theyâre checking out. Had I known, I would have tried on right there.
At this point, Iâm just livid. I spent $10 on an item. I canât even use. The cashier asked if I was signed up to sell with them. Iâm not, But even if I was, What a pathetic solution. Itâs an outright scam. So what? They can look at the necklace and offer me two dollars for a necklace I spent $10 on? Then go and resell it for $10 again making double the money?
I will NEVER be shopping here again, and I will be advising all of my friends against it as well. All for a measly $10 piece of jewelry that still had the tag on it....
Read moreIâve given Polish a lot of business over the years but have had 2 rude encounters two separate times. The most recent encounter was when I picked up a shirt I really liked and I came to the register to cash out and the shirt rang up just over a dollar which was printed on the tag. I confirmed with the cashier that it did scan for that price. She said it did, but that it didnât seem right. So she went to another girl who must be a manager, and that girl said itâs supposed to be a higher price since itâs âconsignmentâ. The cashier came back and asked if that price was okay. I responded and said that since you guys misprinted the price, I would appreciate if you would honor that for me. The manager popped out and said âwe donât honor mistypesâ. Neither of the girls were apologetic or sincere to me. I was thoroughly unimpressed and very surprised they didnât let me buy it at that price especially since it rang up as that said price in the register. Especially since all of these items are donated. I will not be shopping here as much anymore. All I have to say is, do better, and value the customers that shop...
