🍁Best Things to Do in Acadia National Park⤵️ While Acadia is a top vacation spot year-round, nothing compares to the park’s spectacular transformation around October. Must-Sees in Acadia National Park: Beehive Summit - 1.4 mile loop ascending up cliffside iron rungs and rock scrambles leading to panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean & Sand Beach (best during sunrise) Gorham Mountain - 1.8 mile out & back trail ascending up one of the tallest mountains in the park with amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean, Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, & Otter Cliffs Jordan Pond Loop - 3.2 mile loop around Acadia's second largest pond, best for bird watching and access points to North & South Bubble (hike South Bubble via the Bubble Divide Trail to see Bubble Rock) Schoodic Peninsula - lesser known mainland (Maine-land) part of Acadia that offers views of the rocky cliff coastline and lighthouses Is Acadia on your list to visit? #acadianationalpark #acadia #nationalpark #hiking #maine

Great weather made for a great morning climb. Having previously completed the via ferrata at NROCKS, this was a pretty easy climb. If you plan on taking younger children with limited climbing experience, be aware that there are sections where they must complete the climb without holding your hand. The drop below the grate you walk over is only ~15', so don't let that section scare you away. The climbing sections and back trail are well maintained and marked with blazers. ENJOY THE VIEWS!!!

As an avid hiker from Colorado mostly familiar with this kind of terrain, I can say that it was definitely underwhelming. But hey, I am from Colorado, so don't take my criticism too severely. I hiked up Champlain mountain via Beachcroft Path before hiking down Champlain's South Ridge, looping up to the Beehive, and meeting family at Sandy Beach. And of course, the Beehive is one of the most famous areas in Acadia, and that shows. There are mobs of people on this trail, shockingly most of them without as much as hiking boots! It really wasn't strenuous, as 80% of my time was spent waiting for the long line ahead of me to get up the mountain. Still, I completed it in less than an hour. The top was beautiful, but I highly recommend nearby Champlain mountain over this. It is just as beautiful, a less exposed trail, and has little...

JUST DO IT! 😃🏔️🐝 I am a tad afraid of heights but this is very doable.

This little mountain is a metaphor for LIFE. You can't see what is around the next bend, but if you TRUST that the Handholds and Metal Bridge is really secure, you CAN do it! Just go Step by Step and enjoy each view which is SPECTACULAR!

There is a an amazing lake at the top (which I hope is still there!) Going down is a flat and gentle slope.

And YES, I've hiked in New Hampshire, Colorado and Alaska, and this is NOT Mt. Denali, but it is STILL FUN especially if you are not a regular hiker and want a challenge.

You can swim in The Leech Filled Lake at the top for an added thrill! Leeches do not stick if you keep moving....

If a hike could be a tourist trap, this is it. For all the hype in dozens upon dozens of reviews I've read, this was a pretty boring hike. I have to assume most people that considered this trail scary, challenging, or whatever else don't usually hike. My family (4'10 wife and 8 y/o son) felt cheated when we reached the summit. We individually exclaimed, "that's it?" in unison. Yes, the views are beautiful, but if it wasn't because we did this at 730am, we'd never wait on line for this trail. All this to say, if you've ever actually hiked before, this trail is a cakewalk. If you only hike on vacation, you'll find...
