If you're a trucker and happen to see open spots and think about staying here, don't. They'll charge you $25 and they close at 10pm so no overnight bathrooms. Because of this, I became severely constipated when I stayed there the other night. There's no businesses nearby that are open late or overnight with a usable bathroom either. If they're gonna have overnight truck parking, they need to have a bathroom for drivers. Pretty sure that's a law, at least in most states. Also, when I asked why I had to pay $25 to park at a small town truck stop (usually only have to pay in like Dallas or Detroit or something, not in small towns) the employee told me it was because the owner keeps having to replace the parking lot due to trucks and he replaced it recently and is tired of doing so because the trucks tear it up so he's charging now. Hate to break it to ya, that's kind of part of owning a truck stop. Just the way it goes. Don't allow truck parking if you don't wanna have to do that. Drivers, I guess you could avoid that ridiculous $25 fee if you get there after they close. Oh and the bathrooms are really gross, at least themen's. Wasnt clean at all and toilet had an out of order sign making people think it didn't work. It did. No issues. Just dirty. Seems like this is a commonality among small town Kentucky truck stops. But this is the only Kentucky truck stop that requires you to pay to park. I've been all over Kentucky for years and have never experienced this in any other part of the state. I feel like the owner of this truck stop might just hate truck drivers. That was the vibe I was getting. Without us, he wouldn't be in business. His fuel and product in the store all arrives on a truck. It's not just magically gonna get there. Oh and one last thing, those little homemade cakes they sell by the register, I bought a handful looking forward to trying them and hoping at least that'd be good. They tasted like chemicals. All of them. That's gross. Won't be staying or stopping here again and I definitely encourage others not to, especially...
Read moreWe came upon this little store as we were unable to pick our loads up early from the Haeven Hill distillery, It's not a truck stop persay but truck driver's are welcome to park and stay the night for a fee of $25. We spoke to the manager of the store and she was very nice, friendly and courteous and made us feel wanted there instead of being ran off like we're trash like some places do. They do not have all the amenities like you would get at a truck stop but they do have food until they close at 10pm and then open back up around 4 am for breakfast. It's very convenient if you are loading or unloading at the local distillery and plenty of room. So don't go based on what other people say come and check it out for yourself and make your own judgment. TENFOEEEE David & Robin...
Read moreThree stars for the employees being friendly but 1 for the "world famous sausage." I was not impressed at all. I had two sausage, egg biscuits. The biscuits were barely less than rock hard at one pm so I ate one...and threw the other in the trash in the parking lot. Pretty bland and flavorless. And the selection of fountain drinks is embarrassing. Heck, I can find more variety in my refrigerator. A hard pass on...
