Very unsatisfied with this place. My family & myself went here & rented a conoue for a 4 hr trip. As soon as we got out into the river, it had started storming heavily, we were litterally out on the river for 5 minutes, we were told by a staff member that it was not going to rain & that we would be okay to go out on our trip, & so we did, & so they took us out then it started , lightning, thundering & raining, after we JUST got in the water. So they came & got us, so we paid, they accepted our money, we got into the river just to get back out minutes later, & the thing that is really messed up is that once we got back out the river, & went into the office to get our keys we had noticed that the office staff had the weather radar up on their computer so they accepted our money while knowing it was going to storm & that we were going to have to get out as soon as we got in, they also closed the office right when we got back, all they had to do was day we're sorry but we don't want you wasting your money for today just to have to get right back out we hope you can come back another time, but they did not do that. They had also tried to sell us the big river raft for $120 dollars while knowing it was going to storm. That's the biggest part that upset me that the weather radar was up on the screen, like they knew, like just be honest with me, don't tell my family it isn't going to rain and that we will get our whole trips worth or atleast almost all of it. We got 5 minutes out of a 4 hour conoue trip!...
Read morePale Whale met expectations with the renting and drop off. They fell greatly short in the canoe/tube removal from the river and customer service.
We had a group of around 20 people that rented from the company and 5 that brought their own kayaks. Upon the completion point where you are supposed to take the floats out of the river, multiple workers gave our group a hard time for using the exit location. Upon taking out the five non rented kayaks, a larger middle aged man from Pale Whale came over and made a fool out of himself on four different scenarios. Saying he was cutting us slack letting us use his exit point, raising his voice and trying to intimidate our group members and ultimately singling out one of our members and warning him about the dangers of the Pale Whale location. This employee was doing this to PAYING CUSTOMERS!
Needless to say, this man was on a power trip and trying to act macho in front of a group of people. We will not be back and suggest you...
