Commissary — Local services in Barstow

I wish more people took advantage of this great commissary. It was not crowded at all. Well, I have to be honest, I have been married to an honorably discharged service connected veteran for almost 30 years & I just got an ID card this year & we have not been taking advantage of all of the benefits that are offered. This is a great location. They offer so many great items at really good prices. I am not sure if the people who bag & take your groceries to the car are paid by the commissary, but they do take tips. They are very nice & helpful. The cashier even pointed out coupons that are offered throughout the store for us to use for additional savings. These people...

MCLB has the gem of the military commissary system! I have been shopping here for years and I am always impressed by such a great selection packed into a smallish space. The prices are superior to Wally-World, a mile away, as well. Between the great customer service, the absolute cleanliness, the more than good selection of foods, and the great prices, any Military ID holder would be foolish to shop...

It is very much on the smaller size of the spectrum when it comes to commissaries. But the base it serves is also small. it has the basics of everything you would need. And they have baggers there that will bag for you and take your groceries to your car.

If you're looking for a larger shopping center, you would need to go to one of the other military bases in the region.
