TCAT Bartlett is a great school, especially for anyone interested in welding. I’m currently in the welding program, and I truly enjoy how hands-on and engaging it is—I actually wish I had even more time here. The instructors, Mr. Leggett and Mr. Keel, are extremely supportive and genuinely want to see every student succeed, even pushing us to be better than they were. I’ve already earned certifications in 1G plate, 3G plate, 4G plate, and 1G pipe welding, and I’m aiming to achieve even more. TCAT has helped me see welding from a whole new perspective, one I didn’t know before. What really sets the school apart is the practical, hands-on approach to learning, which works best for me and helps me pick up valuable skills that I’ll use in the field. The instructors teach from real-world experience, which gives us insight into what to expect on the job. Their is no hands on learning offered here, its all computer work like i ready and thats how you get your certificate, you will sit in a classroom and do computer work all day and look at the nice well equipped shop through the glass windows every day. You are better off getting an internship at a company or dealership that will teach you with hands on learning while paying you as well. You will finish the program with no hands in experience. Thinking of working on your vehicle or project to learn in your program? Forget about it your not allowed to do so. This place probably pockets the extra money to themselves and just gives students computer work to make costs less for them. A lot of hands on learning. You will have to go through computer training and do work so they know that you have been through your safety training. These people that have left reviews are not so happy that they left or got kicked out on there on behavior. I highly recommend this school. Such a great environment and very friendly people. The welding program is top tier. Ive look through many schools and this was the one I choose. Very happy that I did. Yes you have to do your deeds on the computer but as soon as your done your out in the shop working and having hands on.
