Humboldt Fitness — Local services in Bassett

I want to take a minute and review humboldt fitness and their nutrition coach, Callie. I’m not the person that normally makes my business public but I feel like may help someone stuck in the same situation. I’ve struggled for most of my life being overweight. This year, my wife and I decided that it’s time to make some drastic changes. Those changes included improved diet and exercise. Our first step was to join weight watchers and the gym. We chose Humboldt fitness. While visiting and paying for a membership we were greeted with a smiling face and a level of energy that was unsurpassed. The attendant was very helpful and glad to see us join. Sitting on the desk was a flyer for the services of a nutritional coach. After a few weeks of going to the gym we decided this may be a helpful service and decided to sign up. This is when the change started to occur. We met with Callie as a husband/wife duo. She started with a history lesson of our lives in general to get a feel for where we were at in and took a few measurements. We were new weight watcher fanatics. After about 4 weeks of meeting with Callie, we both realized that our struggle with a yo-yo dieting was starting to once again reveal itself. Callie helped us understand the why behind yo-yo dieting. Once we gave up on the current diet fad the weight was going to return with a mighty vengeance. She wasn’t wrong, my wife and I had seen this time and time again. Callie began to help us understand that we need to be in tune with our body and learn to make adjustments according to how our body felt. She gave us the ability to see this wasn’t a “fad diet” this is the way we are supposed to fuel our body. The results were staggering. My wife and I have both changed mentally and physically. Not only have we both lost a good amount of weight but we feel better physically and mentally. I know in the scope of life 3 months is a very short time but 3 months leads to 6, 12, then forever. Callie is not one of those, do this, do that type of nutrition coaches. She seems to genuinely care about the person in front of her and for that, my wife and I are very thankful. Very clean place. Staff is very nice and helpful. I had Kelli help with a membership for me and my husband. Pricing is great and there really isn't any hidden fees or contracts. The only reason we left was cause some new girls started going and exercising with just sports bras on with no padding under and we could tell no undies. We would just look away. Idc honestly but it was very uncomfortable once another couple was there and the girl kept telling her boyfriend/ husband to not turn cause the girls were squatting and making awful lot of noises and again with their attire I can see why she was upset but overall just that whole thing was a nope. Also an exercise machine was missing 2 screws. We alerted staff but nothing...

Wonderful space. Tall windows that let the sun in, beautiful new equipment, and the employees could not be more attentive to one's needs. And the best... all ages...
