We've been there 3 times and the last trip was horrible. This was on a Sunday afternoon with 2 birthday parties going on and everything would've been tolerable and fun IF the negligent and inconsiderate parents would've been keeping their kids with no skates (ages 3-8) off the skate floor. They would suddenly change directions and push the handicap rollers around to where I almost ran into them a few times (6' 200 lbs) and they almost made a paying elderly (60's?) woman almost topple over them which could've injured not only the kids, but her as well. The lady worker did make one announcement but a few minutes later it was 5-10 strong with non skaters again. When a second request was made, the ladies excuse was that they couldn't legally get them to stop. I guess no rules and not caring about the paying skaters are more important to them than non paying/skating unattended toddlers. The scum parents wouldn't care either. They will not give you a receipt unless you actually (verbally) fight them for one and they only accept cash. Thats just shady! That just screams for a tax audit and I hope they do get flagged. The man at the front counter was nice and the lady was decent regarding demeanor however the others are not very approachable. Only 1-2 people at a time in the small restrooms and no drinking fountain in sight...just a couple sinks to wash hands. The only thing they have going for themselves is pricing but I'd rather pay a few bucks more to be able to skate without worrying about a potential lawsuit from dumb and neglectful parents enabled by the business staff. If you need a place to lay down at, do it here in the skate area since it's only $5 all day and they wont make you move. We would've been decent biz for them since we were going to visit 1-2x a week with 3-4 kids and ourselves each time with disciplined and...
Read moreI am so frustrated with this establishment! The customer service (management) SUCKS and they are money hungry!!! So, I took my 6 kids, 2 nieces, & their 3 neighborhood friends to this skating rink to enjoy themselves at 6pm on a Saturday evening, we selected this spot that way the kids could PLAY and EAT dinner all at one establishment which would be convenient. All 11 kids were hungry about an hour and 30mins into skating and we went to the concession stand to order, in which we were then told that the kitchen was closed due to the breaker having issues and that neither of our 11+ orders could be fulfilled. So, I then asked if we could order outside food to feed our big party of 15 (11 kids & 3 adults) in which we were told “No, you can not” I then explained how we spent over $70 to get in (even if you do NOT skate you have to pay a $5 entry fee) and that the skating rink does not close until 10pm and the kids were really hungry, as it was planned that we would all wait to eat dinner here at the skating rink as part of our Saturday event outing, but literally NONE that mattered to management!!!! They literally had NO cares what-so-ever! In the MANY MANY MANY years that my family has came to this establishment we have never had such a distasteful, rude, and greedy experience! This establishment use to be so FAMILY FRIENDLY and welcoming!!! The previous owner/management was accommodating if the circumstances of the establishment inconvenienced the customer(s) experience. New management is out for MONEY!!!! Playing Christian music in your establishment is so contradicting to the mannerisms, culture, and customer service of this place, how FAKE! Just to be fair the young kids working there were...
Read moreBefore today, I would have given 4 stars. We've been going here for over 10 years and paid thousands of dollars in celebrations. Today, however, the manager (older woman with glasses and short hair) told my party of 13 that we had to squeeze into 2 smalls booths even though I paid for 10 guests, and the other 3 paid separately. I explained to the manager that we were all paying guests and should be able to occupy as many needed tables to accommodate paying customers. She requested $10 to use another table. I asked her to explain her logic since we were all paying customers and arrived separately. She laughed and said I was just trying to get out of paying $10 (???). She said next year she'll charge us even more. I told her that I was very disappointed and confused by her customer service. She again laughed and said she had been there for 2 years. Since we were charged more and treated poorly next time, we will be spending our (more than $10) at Austin Roller Rink. So sad that this family-oriented business is being ruined by this bitter woman. I made sure to tell the other...
