here is what you need to know before coming to this location
The smell is heavenly and reminds me of home with a phenomenal Aura of family the moment I stepped in with a sense of humor on every inch of the walls that have me on the floor laughing
everything this place sells reflects the staff and their encouraging sense of humor that only added to the joy of this visit which I regret not coming sooner and passing by this place many times on my way to and from Bastrop on business trips and finally had time today to stop by and see what all the fus was about
not only that they had a spotless restroom with murals of people and things all related to squirrels everything here is connected with squirrels pecans and a love of sweets to fit every pallet you can imagine
they even had all kinds of hot sauces tomatillo sauce quail eggs as well as even quail sausage bison sausage jerkies toys for the kids T-shirts of every kind imaginable and even funny souvenirs across every inch of the walls for sale
on top of that every kind of pecan candy you can imagine for $20 a pound as of when I came here with samples available on request
they also have all kinds of various candies that you can sample as well as astounding pecan pies packed with pecans to the bottom these things literally felt like I could knock somebody out with one for 30 bucks
on top of that they even have soaps and lotions made from goat milk especially for people with sensitive skin
Of course outside they have the famous Giant squirrel to take pictures with and then post that online which is a brilliant way of marketing and getting the word out about this location
on top of that they even have and sell things to grow your own peaches a lot of peach products a lot of fresh peaches from Fredericksburg as well as even chocolate covered strawberries in a freezer fresh to melt in your mouth
And then if that wasn't enough they even have an area depending on the season where they sell different types of pecan trees and things needed to grow your own pecans again depending on the season
on top of all that if that wasn't enough they even have a 24/7 vending machine so if you're an area somehow in the middle of night you can come here and get your munchies on crazy and brilliant
and wheelchair accessible handicap accessible throughout the building and again did I mention the smell this makes you feel like home?
on top of all of that you even have a brilliant combination of Austin keep it weird souvenirs to choose from as well on top of everything else you even have if that wasn't enough Carolina reaper products push towards those like me who live...

I was FINALLY able to go in this weekend on a trip to Bastrop.
Everything about the store is pecan centered. Obviously. The greeter was incredibly friendly and we had the option to try samples before buying, which was nice!
We ended up getting the variety pack which had Milk Chocolate Covered Pecans, White Chocolate Pecans, and Honey Glazed Pecans. I was a fan of the chocolate covered ones, but not so much the honey glazed. We also got a Chocolate Pecan Pie which was good the first day, a little too sweet for my taste, and not so good the day after. The pecans had formed some kind of syrup that made the pie loose shape a bit. And the other thing we got was the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Popcorn. I think if the chocolate had been milk, the dark was a little too bitter, it would have been perfect.
I don't think anything about the place was bad, it was all just very ordinary. The only other thing I had a problem with was that the prices were pretty high. I know that nuts are normally a little pricey, but some things were unnecessarily expensive.
It's definitely a place to stop in, should you ever pass by.
They also had a 24/7 pecan vending machine outside which was...

I was greeted by one of the most inviting smiles as I walked in the door and as WE mutually exchanged smiling pleasantries, I was understanding THIS visit was going to take a while...fine by me! Bought some goat milk lotions for my female heath care colleagues, some peach salsa for my family, and some snacks for my male healthcare cohorts...ALL certainly about keeping smiles in times to come after my vacay comes to am end...the pecan merchandise is made entirely from fresh pecan nuts, and after a few free (!!!) tasting opportunities, I realized I'd better stop what I was buying B4 I needed a Uhaul trailer to finish the job! Ha! Berdolls' is such a fantastic place for ANYone, and I will SO remember this May 28th visit, AND that wonderful feeling of being so welcomed! Bruce D from Colorado...
