An excellent road that passes between New Hampshire and Maine's White Mountain National Forest. The views themselves maybe somewhat less than spectacular along the drive. Avoid peak season if possible out of state drivers aren't as confident on this 1.5 lane road. Closed during winter cops always patrol, and wardens too. Lots of great hiking and views before and after the gated road. 100% free to drive unless you get...
