It took them an entire month for me to get service. They never called me to SCHEDULE an appointment for setup I had to call them twice a week to find out why it was taking so long. Whenever i would call they would say "the work order was lost" or "there's a strike and we have no boxes available". I called a month ago and you didn't order me one? But somehow with enough calls I got one the next day. They never asked where I wanted the boxes so when they finally came out to dig the line, they set it up in the opposite side of the house where no one is. They said it can't be moved since it's already done. They asked if I wanted to use a stronger router in setup...WHY do I need to provide one. I live in a single wide mobile home and it can't reach to the other end of the house! That is what you guys are supposed to provide. So I can't use any of my online DVD player apps or Xbox in my living room. When I am able to use the internet, it will cut in and out 5+ times during a movie for 5 mins or longer. I called for a tech to come out and they never told me a time they would be out. So It was never looked at because I was at work when they came out and they never rescheduled me. I called and left a message for the supervisor TWICE. No reply. And in checking my mail today I got my first bill and was charged $230! I asked the customer service rep roughly how much my monthly bill would be and she said $130. I am also getting charged $65 for a phone that I don't have nor did I want but was told that I have to have it in order to get internet. And this is supposed to be a regular every month charge?! If I "have to" have it then why is the charge completely separate on the monthly bill? I have NEVER used or hooked up a phone. THIS IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH!!...
   Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. Comporium internet is one step above dial-up. Itâs slow, and unreliable, but what other option does a rural homeowner have for internet. We are on the fastest package available for our area and still only getting 8mbps. On good days it struggles to keep up with Netflix and the like. The last comporium technician to run a service call on our router basically said he was sorry about comporiums internet quality and to wait on Carolina Connect. This technician works for comporium, stated their service was garbage and was a Carolina Connect customer himself, now what does that say about comporium as a company and provider? As for me, I just have to deal with comporium for a short while longer because Carolina Connect has already run fiber in front of my house. Just waiting on them to install the drop to run to my house, you better believe I will be switching from outdated comporium technology and service and into the fiber optic world. So 12/28/2021 my internet was acting up so I called tech support and they said my system had not been rebooted in over 2 years so they rebooted my system within 12 hours I've lost all internet they sent a work order and for it to be repaired I called to see what kind of time frame I was looking at and the lady in the repair department said she had no idea that was up to the Technicians she could not tell me if it was going to be one day today 4 day 5 day for a problem that was caused by rebooting my system as of right now I'm very dissatisfied cannot get no answers and most people have been rude to me or in my opinion just really don't care with me being super nice as of right now not sure how much longer I want to stay with comporium my son has school work to do for college and like I said we have no internet not happy.
