Came into Verizon Store in Topeka on 21 to pick up phone, laptop and new phone with someone. Nothing was ready to go. Store is dirty, from the windows to the floors. Walls are damaged, trash sitting out, no inventory on racks for phone accessories. Personnel is not professional with dress code, staff cursing in front of us totally inappropriate and unprofessional. Have been here for 2 hours and still not done activating all devices. Highly advise using Corporate Verizon store on Wanamaker. Steer clear of this store or pack a lunch.

Terrible call center to work at for people with medical issues or Mental health issues, especially autism and PTSD. They constantly scream and yell so loud that your customers even comment on it. They keep saying they're a family but won't hesitate to get rid of you for a mistake or missing work because of Inclimate weather. They actually tried to accuse me of destroying property (said I colored on my keyboard, even though it was that way when I came out of training and even when i stated i didn't, they acted like they still didnt believe me!) Their standards are way too high, even worse than Chase call center but even Chase provided a quiet working environment! First call center I've worked at where people just scream and clap loudly all day long and they look at you so judgementally if you cover your ears and dont join in. Like I get wanting to have fun but it is at the expense of the nuerodivergent people. I started there happy to be there and by month 2 on the production floor, my mental health was spent. That's not even to say that their call center routes calls that are supposed to be going to Verizon stores and they're furious when they get you instead and they can tell you're a call center. Maybe because of all the clapping and screaming. Then we are supposed to follow a script, which is hard when the customer isn't having it. Deviate from the script, get fired. Not to say that if you have PTSD and people are screaming, you'll forget it often. Also the first call center I worked at where you have a call time but instead of how short your calls need to be, now they need to be at least 5 minutes. I was able to wrap a sale up in 3 minutes and they wanted me to fluff the conversation up for another 2 minutes, which is pointless and another unnecessarily stressful metric I never met. Only good thing was the sales. I managed to get 30 in a weekend once but that wasn't good enough for them since I deviated from the script to get those sales. Ironically customers only like you when you dont sound like a robot. I honestly dont even see this being a good call center for the...

I would give zero stars if I could. My mother in law went into a location to get the number for the insurance. The manager Mario of the Espanola, NM location told her he could get her a new phone for the same exact cost, that she would have to pay nothing after she paid on that day. It was all a lie. After she left the store and the bill has come, there are payments for her phone now. I was on the phone with her when she was dealing with the manager and I heard him tell her there would be no extra cost after what she paid at the store that day. He also said Verizon would refund the upgrade fee, which they did not. This guy totally lied to my mother in law. Once I saw the bill I called the store and spoke to the manger and he told me that it is too late, then he told me he would call back and he never did. I had to call the headquarters to get the number of the district manager, Juan, who, surprise surprise, is friends with the previously mentioned manager and told me he is sure that is not what happened, so basically calling me and my mother in law liars. He also proceeded to tell me that if she is old and doesn't understand then she shouldn't be allowed to go into these stores!!! Are you kidding??? Blaming her??? Also, I was on the phone and I heard the manger say it would not cost anything more than what she was paying in store. I will never go into a Russel Cellular again. I have had Verizon service for over fifteen years, I pay for five lines, and I am considering changing over to T-Mobile because of...

The Worst Cell Phone Shopping Experience Ever

Called the Purcellville, VA store number. Cassandra answered. I told her I wanted to buy an iPhone tonite. Asked if she had the model and color I wanted. She said yes. Asked her to hold it for me. Said I'd be there in 15 minutes. "We don't really hold phones, but if you'll be here in 15 minutes, the phone isn't going anywhere."

Got to the store--No Cassandra there. Nor was the phone she put me on hold to go and check on, there either. Beware: Casssandra is a bald-faced liar.

At the store, Josh/John? (6pm-ish 12/5/22) tried to convince me to buy black or purple. I said I would think about it, and come back tomorrow, and maybe get him to order the color/model I wanted.

Then, incomprehensively, the guy proceeds to start a conversation about VPNs, and why I needed one. Why in gods name he wanted to lecture me on pros and cons of using a VPN I dunno. And the bearded P#@$k wanted to argue about it. I was not interested in the conversation, the topic, etc. Just trying to leave the store.

Russell would do well to fire that sanctimonious...guy. I will never go back to any Russell Cell. store anywhere again. Honest is the easiest thing there is to be in business. They are neither honest...
