I have tried to reach Pittman Family Farms by phone to no avail, so this is my second go to. I have always purchased a Mary's Geese from Whole Foods here in Des Moines & this year I paid $81.22 for a Goose that wasn't fit to eat. I have contacted Whole Foods corporate & am still waiting for some kind of resolution but contacting the supplier seemed like a better resolution. It has NOT been fruitful. This Goose that was cooked at 325 for the allotted time needed & cutting the breast & legs off to finish turned out so tough it was nearly inedible. The skin was so tough it had to be cut off & thrown away. This was a LOT of wasted money at a time when no one HAS any money to waste. My Christmas dinner was totally ruined considering the 12 lb Goose was the ONLY meat I prepared. OLD GOOSE is the only thing I can think of.
