Kinney & Son Moving & Storage — Local services in Baxter

I was extremely disappointed in this company. My move was schedule in advance and they were supposed to show up 7 am but didn't arrive until after 1:00. I was told there would be 4 movers. Most of the time the supervisor was gone leaving 3 young adults who worked slower and took frequent breaks in his absence. They would over stack the moving cart and have boxes from the top dropped. At least one time they tipped over the entire stack, which had breakables. All four would cuss and yell at each other so much I had to tell them to stop. I was told my living room furniture would not fit but would have if they packed better. at the end they just tossed stuff in the back regardless of what it was. I had plenty of moving blankets but they used sparingly or not at all. Most of my furniture was damaged, some extremely bad. I had smashed boxes. At the end they charged more than quoted and the owner was hostile and wouldn't discuss anything. I would never use them and recommend no one else...

These guys were courteous, professional, personable and efficient! They treated everything with respect, were polite, and friendly. Not to mention very hard working. Today was the the first time I've hired a moving company and I'm so grateful I landed on Kinny & Son. They'll be the only ones I call if there is ever a next time. Crew was good. Took 1.5 hours to complete the move and was informed at the end there was a 4 hour minimum charge and when I expressed my concern the answer was that this happens all the time. Clients are not told this and end up paying for 4 hours labor that wasn't utilized. I Would have been better off using a uhaul and manual labor than paying what I did.
