Food Town — Local services in Baytown

This FoodTown was a very clean, well-stocked store! The middle-aged caucasian manager was SOO personable that he actually laid a flat palm on my left shoulder as he directed me to the area of the store that I needed. Unfortunately, there's not a big enough demand for the ' miniature 'Dried Shrimp' that I sought but it was an extremely reminiscent experience of how the old- golden days were. In the distant 70's/80's you could consider it touring a firetruck if you were fortunate enough to get a face to face interaction with a store manager! Thank you kind Sir, for giving me.a flashback from my days of shopping with my elders. You were downright cordial!! One of my neighbours was stealing things from the local supermarket whilst sitting on the shoulders of two vampires. He was charged with shoplifting on two counts. - Unkown

The accessibility inside Food Town is not the issue; but expediting the lines via more check-out cashier's is. What's also troubling is I hardly see any baggers to assist in the process. The underlying message that comes across here is that the cashiers expect the customers to bag their own items.

Overall, their is value to make mention here & the ease of convenience is good. Personally, I feel it could be tweaked more to focus on the best customer experience & better training.

(Based on my experience) Good place to shop, horrible place to work. Management has no ethnicity, If Management dose something very inappropriate they get a light slap on the wrist, how ever if someone lower down the chain was to do the same they would be terminated, it's very high school (Drama).. Promotions and raises are based on who's friends with who, not the loyal employees whom have worked for the company for many years, whom come to work when scheduled, and calls in only when it's an emergency. Management has no problem lying to the faces of Employees and Customers. They say they have competitive wage's. Ha Ha They are the #1 lowest paying store in the Houston area.
