Read an article on Cleveland Scene about how this was one of the best public pools, boasting about the 10$ non-resident daily fee. I get my whole family packed up, (baby included) only to be turned away at the door for not being a beachwood resident. They unapologetically told me to go find a "Beachwood friend" and come as their guest. This was 10 minutes away from my home! This is the only public pool I've ever been to (and I've been to quite a few) that has had this policy. The pool may be nice but apparently the rest of the world is not good enough for them. They should not advertise this as a public pool and should probably update their website to clearly state that this is for residents only. Not just one tiny line in the middle of the page. That Tylan Coleman review was so antisemitic. He needs to check his prejudice. This is a park for all Beachwood residents, and the people who come are all colors and ethnicities. Yesterday there was a Spanish speaking grandma and her grandkids next to us. There are Asians, Indians, many African Americans. The park and lifeguards are paid by taxes and membership fees. Why do you think you should get in for free and not help pay for the lifeguards, who are also all colors. It costs money for all that electricity and water and maintenance. More in regards to the concession stand. The pool is lovely but when I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich I saw the chicken was microwaved and was very tough while the buns were clearly stale. When I asked for a refund, it was rejected and I was told that they could add mayo but I simply was unable to get my money back. It was extremely upsetting and showed horrible customer service. It's horrible-- the pool has a "no outside food" rule which I respected until now, when I used the food stand and was greeted by only mediocre staff and below average tasting and overpriced food without any opportunity...
