This review goes along with Gladys McGarry’s who is my mother in-law and we had your company out at her house

I had The taco man out for my birthday party on July 4th, food was set to be ready by 4:30 and for 50 people, charge was gonna be $450. There was a gentleman and lady who showed up around 3:50 to get everything set up and they had everything ready by 4:30 at about 5:00 the gentleman asked for me, so I went outside and he said hey the food is almost gone do you want us to stay or can we put it on a plate or something and I said well let me see if we have anything inside, I go inside and my wife comes up to me and said that the lady was very rude to some of the guest and some of the guests even came up to me and said she was being rude, and they also seemed very rushed like they didn’t wanna be there. my wifes grandmother asked the gentleman at one point where the churros were because we were supposed to have those as well and he said what are churros? We dont have those and was rude about it. At that point we had noticed it was only 5:00pm and they are supposed to be there from 4:30 - 6:30 so 1 they either didnt bring enough food or 2 they didnt make it all because they didn’t wanna be there. My mother in-law did a head count and we only had 48 people at the party at the time tacos were being served, and there was about 10 or 15 people that did not eat any of the food because we also had food inside. When it came down to the payment they only told cash or card but they did not have the machine so we could use a card, and nobody had $450 cash so they tried calling there boss and I tried calling him as well because I wanted to speak with him about the service we got and how we shouldn’t have to pay $450 for 30 mins of service when its supposed to be 2 hours and his employees were rude and seemed very rushed like they didn’t wanna be there, but I was unable to get ahold of him and so were they so i had to pay using Venmo and they charged me an additional 8% so I ended up paying $487. I texted and call the boss the next day and he did not respond to my text or calls, I was finally able to get ahold of him Saturday July 6th and he tried saying he didn’t have anyone out on the 4th and must of been a different company and I said no I texted you the day before and you said I have you for food ready at 4:30 and he still tried to say it wasn’t his company then I had to read every text we had with each other for him to say ok, they when I explained to him what happened he said well there’s nothing I can do now, that’s something you need to call me about that day and I said I did, along with your employees but we couldn't get ahold of you and I tried on July 5th to get ahold of you and couldn't so what am I supposed to do with that? If your not answering or responding to my text how am I supposed to try and get a refund or make a complaint. This company does not seem professional at all and for only getting 30 mins of service when it’s supposed to be 2 hours and having to pay $487 is not acceptable and don’t think I should of had to pay that much, we’ve have other companies out before and never had a problem, had around 50 people and still had food left over after the 2 hours of them...

UPDATE (5/11): OWNER COMMENTED STATED THEY DID NOT HAVE ME IN THEIR SYSTEM. CORRECT BECAUSE THE ORDER WAS PLACED UNDER MY PARTNERS NAME AND I HAVE THE ORDER CONFIRMATION NUMBER TO PROVE IT. This is a legitimate review of the business. Be careful of this threatening business.

Ok, let's start with the positive. The one star goes out to the gentleman who delivered and set up our food. He also handled a very unprofessional business move by owner, Omar Garcia, very well. He was able to deescalate the situation and close the transaction.

Now on to the ugly...

We had been communicating with this business a few weeks before our event. We detailed location, number of guests, food requests, etc.

We were provided with a confirmation number (no formal invoice) and given our grand total. We were asked to provide a $100 deposit, which we did immediately and sent over the proof.

On the day of our event they tried to up-charge us on the final remaining balance. The owner said they had made a typo and our total was incorrect. Seems like they have too many cooks in the kitchen. Omar said his associate Alex was the one making the deal, and he quoted us incorrectly. Although our email chain had his full name as the sender/receiver of messages. Mind you, we hadn't heard from him after the deposit for about a week and were freaking out that they might no show on the day of the event.

He told the delivery guy to pack up our food and leave. It was horrific. I almost wish we did send the young man on his way with the food. It was the worst taco meat I've had along with the worst catering experience.

We were too naive to give in to the negative reviews.

This is been the worst service and tacos that we ever had period! We contracted this guy to do our company which we paid 550.00 to feed 60 people but the food was only for no more than 30 people minimum. Some random guy showed up to my company on a really bet up family van with the food in the back uncover (I saw it with my own eyes) and with frozen meat that it looked that they were left overs put together from previous partys. When the guys announce himself on he's Web site that they're employees cook all fresh on site this wasn't the case. He just hires random people to warm up tortillas and frozen meats and served. He brought 3 small plates with little bit of onion, cilantro and one small plate of guacamole that was only enough for 5 people at the end. And that's not all...the service from the person that was doing it was awful! I ask hom nicely if he can please make sure to have my tortillas nice and hot and he looked at me shaking he's head been bothered by my request so I asked him what was the problem and he give me the most worst service and I asked him that if he had a problem I'll be calling he's boss to send someone else and he's response was that he didn't care that I can call him. At the end a least 20 people did not eat and for what we paid wasn't worth it. I don't recommend this guy and I'll be seeking a partial reembursment for this awful tacos...
