Charges higher prices than the bigger cities do. A lot of food has been found out dated or the expiration dates edited. Runs a BIG scam with about a reward for gas by buying $20 in groceries. Its not real. Dog food is all expired. The deep freezers are dirty and disqusting. The refrigeration units leak and doesn't keep meats frozen properly ruining frozen food products. You have to be careful when purchasing soda here cause its old, stale and flat in a lot of cases. People have gotten sick by eating the food from here on many cases and owner has been notified by the friendly hard working staff about these issues and ignores them thinking he won't be reported. Beattyville needs more grocery store choices so the good people of its community have fresh food and options....

I know Jack and I like Jack and I had bought quite a lot of food there over the many many years of going there and not only that that's usually the spot where prefer to purchase the great big of American club tobacco and tubes and handheld cigarette maker's. Not the greatest but it's closest to the cabin we're going to. Prices seem a bit high. Independently owned IGA. The deli is no more so the case have desserts thrown in them & sheets covering other parts. There's not much produce to pick from.
