As a native Bostonian visiting Fripp Island on an engagement vacation - The Lowcountry Store is a MUST SEE! This place is so damn charming in every conceivable way

I’ve never seen such a wide selection of handmade goods from local artists and makers alike. We don’t have shops like this up in Boston! My fiancé and I grabbed a cute postcard as a memento to our time here, but we spent a solid 15 minutes just strolling through and seeing all of the gorgeous pieces on the shop floor.

It’s clear that a lot of love and passion has gone into that place over the years. We’ll be back next time we’re around without a doubt! I recommend you don’t miss it should you...

Normally love this store but the past couple times I’ve been by it hasn’t been open. Called the owner today since it said it would be open at 11 on their website, and it was not. No answer, I finally get a call back and it sounds like I’m talking to an actual child on the phone who told me they were open, yet no lights were on and the front door was locked. Called back 20 minutes later, to yet again be answered by a child who told me now they weren’t going to open till 12:30. Was looking forward to spending a lot of money here, but I guess not. The store itself is nice, a bunch of interesting stuff. But they sell Pokémon cards here. I purchased a few of them that turned out to be fake , it seemed that the owner knew they were fake but since I wasn’t aware they were he said he would offer me a “deal” rough spent 80 bucks on a couple of cards and they are worthless. Only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is because the other parts of the store was nice and the dude seemed like a nice guy but kinda scum baggy to sell a fellow Pokémon collector fake cards as if they were genuine.
