Okay, so I called Thursday June 30 to book the 8 hour CCW class and was told that the next available date would be Sunday July 24, but it was not yet opened for booking. I was told to check back in an hour which, I did and it still hadn't been posted and due to life I wasn't able to get back to check until the following Monday. I didn't see it posted, so I called and spoke with Casey who told me that it was full within one hour of him opening the registration for it. I explained what had occurred and he said he would squeeze me in, then he gave me the option to come in to the class on July 10, which was two weeks earlier than I had originally planned on getting in. I accepted and he gave me the option to come in the week before or after to qualify with my weapons, so I opted to come in the Friday before class and qualify. I definitely suggest qualifying ahead of time or after the Sunday class because it looked like quite a few stuck around after class to qualify, so I'm guessing it took quite a bit longer than it took me on Friday. Casey was super helpful, gave me a lane to warm up with some practice shots and coached me a bit after watching me fire a few rounds to ensure my success on the qualification. He is very knowledgeable, and in my opinion, he is truly concerned about training people correctly and equipping all of his students for the responsibility of carrying a weapon and all that entails. He is definitely not in this for the money and you will see what I'm talking about in the class when he gives you valuable information that he could be charging for, at no cost. I had viewed many hours of videos from USCCA, NRA and multiple other training venues prior to Casey's instruction, but I still found it to be very educational and learned some valuable information. I'm pretty sure that Casey has forgotten more about firearms and carrying concealed than most of us will ever know, but he doesn't make you feel that way. He is very down to earth, never cocky or condescending and if he is not busy, will take the time to teach you without making you feel like a rookie. I was very impressed with Casey and the whole experience and have definitely found my new favorite shooting range and would be happy to pay Casey for instruction in the future as I enjoyed his style and the fact that you don't feel like a dummy asking for his help and expertise. I highly recommend Casey and the Beaumont Indoor Shooting Range for your firearms and CCW needs and I look forward to continuing to train and grow as a responsible CCW holder at...
Read moreSo I'm gonna give this indoor shooting range 2 stars only because it's a nice range. I took 3 stars off because the owner of this shooting range is very sarcastic. Yes he knows his stuff about the gun laws but the way he delivers them to you when you do something wrong He treats you like your a child. And I ain't no damn child I'm almost 50 years old. I've been shooting guns since I was 4 years old with my Grandpa and my dad. The way my dad raised me was when you travel with guns. The gun goes in gun case with no magazines or ammo all that is to be separate. When I walked into his gun range I had my guns in gun cases and I was carrying my ammo box With ammo and magazines in the box. He very sarcastically asked me are you law enforcement? I replied back No. Do you have a CCW? I replied back No. He says then why are you carrying your guns like that. I was like how. He's like you're concealing them. I responded back I thought concealing them is me having the gun on me in my waistband loaded. He then turns around grabs this pamphlet with the laws and regulations in it I guess and throws it on his counter. Gives me At least a 10 minute lecture on laws on how to carry my gun. And I was okay with listening to him as I know the laws change all the time but the way he delivered it he needs to work on it. So if you go to this range make sure you have a lock around your gun case handle in plain sight and show him as you're walking in the door to avoid this lecture that I got. I plan on getting my CCW And he is one of the vendor companies that you can go through to complete your CCW. but I will not be using him I will find a different vendor company and I will not be going back to this range and spending $20. I'll spend that in gas and drive out to Dilon Road in Palm Springs and...
Read moreFirst off, I have been to this range multiple times so there is a pattern with an employee that I assume is the owner. First if you are a CCW holder he makes you declare which is fine, his place his rules. But to chastise people for declaring and having it in a range bag that isn't locked is ridiculous. We are CCW holders get over yourself and either allow them to carry it in unlocked or make it a range policy that all pistols being transported into the facility will be locked no matter if you are a CCW holder or not. To me it seems more that just being safe, but to the point of little man syndrome. Enough on that topic. The next issue is that he feels that he has the right to pick up and look at and sight in down range with your weapons without permission. I dont remember that being part of the brief. I dont care if you are the owner or you just work there you NEVER PICK UP SOMEONES PISTOL!!!! My weapons range from $1000 to $2500 and are my property. Especially since they are my CCW pistols and zeroed for me. DO NOT touch my property without asking. IF they were not the only local range that didn't require a membership I think he would be out of business. I just think that this gentleman needs to exercise some self-control and keep his little hands off of peoples property. Maybe I should have said something the 4 times I was there but my last trip put me over the limit as he made my family feel extremely uncomfortable by touching their pistols while they were reloading. I will be driving to either Riverside or Oceanside to conduct my training and...
