Overall, I was not pleased with my experience. I hired this company based on reputation, but my experience just didn’t match up. In all fairness, despite the challenges we experienced with Structural (listed below) they did make an attempt to correct the situation. Some may ask why I go at length to describe our challenges with this company. My intent is not to malign this company or their leadership. However, I do feel it’s appropriate to share my experience so others can be aware. This summarizes what I would tell a neighbor or friend if they asked me for my honest opinion. 1. Challenges scheduling an install date. They moved our install date five or more times across the span of three months. 2. Install crew didn’t think of customer experience. On the first day, the crew removed all the sides of our barn. This was in December. They worked fast, but left for the day with our valuables exposed to wind and snow overnight. 3. Safety concerns. One of their guys fell off the roof! Fortunately, the worker was okay. However, there were a few problems. One, they weren’t using safety equipment. Two, no one told us! The crew just didn't show up for a few days. It wasn’t until we called and asked where they were that we found out the entire story. We asked them to use safety equipment going forward, which they did. 4. Damaged property. They ran over one of my wife’s apple trees. It wasn’t a massive tree (probably seven feet tall), but neither could it have been easy to miss. Again, the problem came down to communication. No one told us about it. It wasn’t until the crew finished the job and left that I discovered it had been ran over, broken off at the stump. I had to call and tell them. Why didn’t their crew let us know? Your experience may be different, but at this point I cannot recommend them.

After talking to several frame building contractors we decided to have Structural Buildings, design and build our new building. They had the ability to design and construct the building, including the mechanicals so that everything function as designed. The exterior design has been has been praised by our customers and our community. The layout of the building functions well and our needs for a shipping dock were more than adequately filled and functional. State of the art materials were used and we expect a long efficient use. We would use Structural again.

I'm very happy to share that our construction of our pole barn went on schedule with no surprises. The sales and construction team kept us informed every step of the way. I'm very happy with the quality and end product..

We started our project last April and we are still not complete. In fact we now have the pleasure of trying to negotiate to make our project close to the contract. After one year we are left with dented garage doors, an incorrect sized door, concrete that is incorrectly sloped and not the 5" we paid for. Before you can get to see all of that you have to drive down our new road that we paid thousands for which turned out to be nothing more than scraped off sod with a thin layer of class 5 which the cement trucks quickly destroyed. These are just a few of the problems we have endured through our experience.

Although Structual Builders has recently been attempting to bring solutions to the table, it feels more like being bullied than having any choice in the matter. We have requested them to walk away. They refused. As the home owner we are feeling that we have little to no rights. Apparently we can't even fire them! Each day we pray for this nightmare to end so we can have our normally conflict free environment back.

If you plan to build with Structural Buildings I recommend you plan on monitoring and managing your project every inch of the way. We measured and knew the concrete would not be five inches, called, only to have them fix nothing and proceed to pour cement the next business day.

Make sure you have everything in writing. None of the credits we were promised are in writing months after we were told they were. The contract and site drawings do not match. Be diligent in demanding corrections and to ensuring what you are expecting is clearly spelled out in the contract.

To be honest if you enjoy sanity, just pick a...

Working with Structural Buildings to build our 40X60 pole building was a great choice. The professional sales personnel Dan, with so much experience, knowing what we wanted made recommendations that made our build great. Dan and His assistant Rebecca were in touch with us constantly. The contractor who did the Build Dennis and crew were super. We stopped by the build site and the area was neat and organized. Also Dean the building supervisor was in touch letting us know about our project and was accommodating. Our building was up in less than 2 weeks. The materials used are high quality. Better than other builders. I appreciate that Structural is sponsors at the Ogilvie Speedway as were race fans. I wanted to support their business. We got to meet Chad the owner also. He runs a great company. Overall I'm so glad we choose Structural buildings for our build and would reccomend...
