The product(s)/samples were great. We love trying new vendors, especially ones in Ohio.
Now that I've scanned the reviews, there seems to be one rep in particular that tries to muddy the pricing until the end at these shows.
As we were trying samples, I asked for costs & was told it depends on what I get, indicating bundle price... Great. As I selected a couple items, he said clearly that he was giving us a couple for free. Then, as we picked a couple more, he just started grabbing multiples. At this point, I'm starting to get a little suspicious of where we're heading. He then requests my card before giving the price to which I insist on. $184 for 4 items (and the 4 others he added on his own claiming free). I took everything off except the 1 item we initially picked ($26 for a 7oz spicy salami).
From reading through the feedback & our own tasting ... they have some good stuff. The intentional attempt to hide the price point, and seemingly try to lump in more, not only soured us on what we picked and any chance of getting more but eliminated our visit to the pickles completely.
Not everyone is willing to pay a high price on items, I get it. Nor does everyone understand what goes into these meats/etc. Trying to hide it though is not a...
Read moreUPDATE: We reached out to the company to give them a chance to respond. They offered to refund us $10 for the "miscommunication", which still somehow took a week to receive through Venmo. That's fine, it wasn't so much about the money anyway, as the downright dishonesty. This worker was not new; this was no training mistake or miscommunication. Appreciate that the company responded, just still not sure that I would order from them again (or at least not in person).
The taste we had was great, so we bought some cheese and sausage at the fair. Our total should've been $90 even. My husband asked if there was a charge to use a credit card (because you apparently need to ask that everywhere now); he was told "NO", only tax. The amount seemed correct to him so he paid. But as soon as I saw the charge, I knew it was incorrect. We were charged exactly 4% more (plus tax)...obviously a credit card fee. I can't stand it when companies do this, but to straight up lie to us when we specifically asked?? We would've simply paid cash if that was the case. I won't order again from a company that...
Read moreI was at an RV show in Harrisburg yesterday and stopped to see the meats and cheeses. The man talked fast like a side show and I witnessed a woman next to me buying some meats. He was saying “ you buy this and I give you this for free.” Then he gave her a huge chunk of Gouda and said… “I just give you this.” When it was my turn I wanted to purchase two products. See first two pictures. He said to me basically you buy these and so give you these. Showing me two more products. I asked him”Really”? And he says yes. Then he asked if I wanted some for 20 bucks and I did say sure to that. I watched him do math in his head, entered it into the card machine, hit a button and asked me to sign. All the while he was also talking to the people around me. Very distracting. I walked away having spent $165.00 , ten percent which appeared to be a tip. I saw the other woman a few moments later who told me that she was scammed too and had spend just about the same amount as me. Be very very careful when dealing with this company. Plus look at all of the gross additives. Please be careful! Very...
