Frizzhome Gardens — Local services in Bedford

Frizzhome Gardens is one of my favorite local garden centers! They have an extremely wide selection of annuals, perennials, and even tropical/house plants. Their prices are always extremely reasonable, even cheap compared to many other places nearby; and the plants are always high quality, good-sized, and very healthy.

The staff is knowledgeable & friendly. They’re always willing to help you find what you’re looking for and work with you to figure out what will work for your yard. I have a SANDY yard and have always had trouble getting outdoor plants to grow, but the staff at Frizzhome helped me to find perennials that would tolerate Sandy soil and helped get me set up with soil additives to put in where I plant to help them thrive despite the sand and lack of nutrients.

Their tropical/house plant greenhouse is truely like a treasure hunt every time you walk in. The tables are always FULL of a mixed variety of plants from commonly seen to quite rare. The selection changes nearly every time I visit, and again, all the plants are always healthy and well-priced.

The manager/owner made me feel very uncomfortable. I came by outside of the business hours since this same manager/owner previously clarified to me that they had an honor system. The honor system means that it is possible for someone to come and buy plants outside of the business hours and pay for their purchase by putting money in a designated slot in the door. I intended to do exactly that. The owner /manager stood in the parking lot and stared me down as I was browsing the area with plants. I walked up to him and explained to him that I just stopped by and was looking for thyme and I intended to pay like I have done several times before. He kept staring at me blankly, which was very strange and uncomfortable. Needless to say I will not buy plants from this business ever again. I recommend the House by the Side of the Road, which is a wonderful garden store on route 101...

A hidden gem and plant paradise in Southern NH! Whether you're a beginner or an avid gardener/plant enthusiast FrizzHome Gardens has one of the best selections of annuals, perennials and shrubs in Southern NH. But the real treat IMO is the Tropical Greenhouse! Unlike anything you've experienced before, from the colorful tropical passion flower vine above to the vast sea of green and variegated foliage then to the flourescent flowers peaking among the succulent section, its a tropical oasis for sure. Every now and then some hummingbirds will dance above the vines feeding on nectar from the blossoms high up. This is a plant sanctuary worth getting lost in for quite some time.
