Ordered a $150 arrangement for a funeral for the Grandmother off a close friend. Lynn- the florist- put a ribbon on my arrangement that said “Aunt”. Evidently per the Lynn, what occurred was that she had made a mistake. The ribbon was supposed to go on another arrangement. I did not order a ribbon period. I was offered an apology lacking any empathy. More like she was annoyed.
I can’t be there with my friend because of proximity. I asked Lynn, what have you done for customers before in the past when you have made this sort of a mistake. Her response was, to be honest I’ve never made a mistake like this before. She offered me a PARTIAL reimbursement, (which I agreed to- sounded fair enough) but that it would be later before she got around to it.
I’ll give her one star because I really thought she was blowing me off, but she did follow through, and quicker than I expected.
But..... Her idea and my idea of PARTIAL reimbursement are clearly two different things:
Let’s do some math, shall we?
Floral Arrangement - $150 Delivery- $5 Tax- $9 Grand Total: $164 PARTIAL Refund- $20
Delivery proximity, round trip was 9.4 miles, from florist to church back to florist.
So, 1/4 of the refund could be applied to the delivery charge of $5(which would not have cost $5 round trip, regardless).
Also remember, she was already making that round trip delivery because the person who ordered the arrangement with “Aunt” also had their delivery messed up. She made $5 on their delivery too, (so in respect to my $5, she’s not really giving up anything because she was already making that trip with or without my business.
So really it was like she gave me $15 back.
Just want to say thank you sooooooo much for what really equates a $15 partial refund on a $150 arrangement.
Lynn, I hope you sleep well tonight on my stack of cash. You clearly need it more than I do. It clearly means more for you to keep my money white knuckled, than the value of taking care of a customer that took the time to follow up on your mistake.
This was embarrassing to experience, and even more embarrassing that I have to take to Social Media because her partial refund was insulting.
Folks, there are other florists in town that would be grateful for your money. I chose the...
Read moreOrdered a spray for my Father's funeral. It was all white instead of the multicolored wild flowers we had asked for. The lady came back to get it and just shook her head. She brought back what we had ordered and then would not charge us for the flowers. You don't see that kind of treatment from too many companies anymore. The Blossom Shoppe will be my place of choice...
