Greens, fairways, tee boxes, staff, surrounding views, and the Lobster BLT all equal 5 stars without question. The course was VERY well kept except one aspect (the sand traps). The sand traps were essentially gravel pits. Not just little pebbles, but golf ball size rocks as well, and littered with them. It was noticed early on in our round with an unfortunate tee shot into a bunker. We were shocked and disappointed to see how poor of quality that particular bunker was and hoped it was just a one-off on the course. So from that moment on we made it a point to inspect many of the other bunkers and to our surprise they were ALL the same quality. Very out of place considering how well kept every other aspect of the course was. Aside from that, greens were pure, fairways and rough were lush, and tee boxes were flat and divots were filled in. The staff were also very friendly and inviting.

We were also disappointed to learn there was no driving range to warm up. Only a very heavily over used, two person hitting net right next to the 1st tee.

For a $250 tee time you would expect just a little more. Between the sand traps and lack of practice facility Belgrade Lakes did not meet my expectations.

If you can show up after a 2.5 hour drive, stomach the $250 greens fee, hit the 1st tee cold, and avoid every single bunker, you are certainly in for a treat.

Again wanted to thank the staff at Belgrade Lakes for a fantastic day out. This was our annual trip of playing Nantanis, Sugarloaf then the cream of all Belgrade Lakes Golf Course. This is a truly amazing course I would recommend this to anyone from tee to green just perfection. The 9th and 18th greens give a great finish with a shared green the size of a football field with an approach shot that can test the best of Golfers.

The staff are friendly from the moment you pull into the car park, to the simple touch of a wet/ frozen towel being dropped off during the round on a hot day.

All I can say I wish i lived closer and see you next year, sooner rather than later.

Played 09/18/24, with cart 210, had a beautiful Maine Summer day. Course was immaculate, Greens full, fast but fair and receptive, fairways perfect, no need to move ball and no divots to he found, one of my favorites of all golf courses and that includes several high quality Hawaiian courses, 12 minute tee times offer stress free golf with hardly ever seeing other golf groups, only a couple nitpick things, bunkers not the beach sand type and no rakes for players, no GPS on carts, which i find strange for upscale course?
