Highlights: Miki is an un-empathetic instructor with no regard for your comfort. Kenn is a great instructor and handled my experience with the utmost care. They have ZERO Covid precautions.

This is my second time here and I had an amazing experience the first time. Great jump, comfortable harness, enthusiastic instructor. This time, for whatever reason I got either an inexperienced instructor or he was just plain rude. The jump was great, but once the parachute was released my harness was in the most uncomfortable position I've ever been in. I told him I was uncomfortable, and he tried to fix it and was unable to. Instead of trying again, he told me "I don't know what to tell you." In my opinion it is his job to know how to adjust the harness to make the customer comfortable. His two main responsibilities are to make the customer feel safe and to have great customer service. He failed at both. Im not necessarily a nervous person, but his luck of empathy made me extremely uncomfortable. My first jump, I comfortably sat and was able to enjoy the five minutes of floating down, this time I was pulled so hard back by the harness I was unable to move my shoulders or legs. I would have been able to excuse the whole interaction if the instructor was empathetic and really tried to fix the situation, but he really just did not care about how I felt. This was made evident by his habitual asking of "how are you" when I HAD JUST INFORMED HIM OF HOW UNCOMFORTABLE I WAS 2 seconds prior. Moral of the story- request an instructor change if you get assigned to Miki. I was with Kenn last time and he was absolutely amazing, 10/10 recommend.

Additionally, for COVID reasons I would not recommend coming here. They hypocritically have "masks required" signs everywhere, and my brother and I were the ONLY people in the entire establishment wearing masks. No hand sanitizer anywhere. When I was here a few months ago they checked my temperature before entering, most people wore masks, and they had accessible hand sanitizer. Seems like COVID is gone in Clewiston I guess! And, they make a big deal about making an appointment before you go and you still have to wait at least 2 hours before jumping. You get what you pay...

I completed my A-licence here and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I arrived here after completing a few jumps at another drop zone that wasn’t really working out.

When I first arrived the winds were unfortunately too high, but I got to meet a few people and was given a warm welcome from mauricio and Nicole, who continued to be great throughout. I was also introduced to my instructor, Dawn. I immediately felt at ease with her and walked out of there feeling really positive about the course. I think I got lucky because she was great for me. I’m a bit of a scatterbrained fool sometimes, so to have someone so methodical to the point I knew her next move was amazing 😅 I’m also more of an observer than a listener and the way she explained things worked really well for me. She was funny, helped me chill out when I was overthinking and kept a great emphasis on safety. Don’t think I could have managed without her honestly.

There was one day dawn wasn’t in so I asked for Sara because I immediately took to her as well. Like a wee golden retriever running around the hanger, you can hear her laugh from the other side of the room. It’s amazing. Also a superb instructor as she really goes extra trying to get you relaxed; she’ll probably even throw some dad jokes in on the plane.

Highly appreciate these two badass ladies. They’re a great wee team.

A few others were Justin, Clint, Jason, layson and brandon. They’re the names I remember, sorry for the ones I’ve forgotten... I had an amazing experience with everyone at the hanger. Seriously good vibes from the lot and it’s definitely set the standards high for me. From the sassy southern accent in manifest, great outfits, sunsets and golf cart rides. I had a blast 🤙🏽 looking forward to coming...

It didn't really hit me up until a day after I actually skydived.

Skydiving is an extreme sport, something the average individual doesn't have the courage to do. Its exhilarating, spontaneous, risky and ultimately a fun and tremendous experience. I am glad I crossed the threshold of skydiving.

You wouldn't be human if you weren't nervous even just a little bit prior to taking the dive. Although what calmed my nerves and what made this experience meaningful, were the people and the interaction. Michelle welcomed me and was super helpful upon check in, as well as Sapphire and Mauricio.

However the star individuals were Lenny and Liam. Liam was super personable and made the experience an experience as he filmed every moment of it. This guy floated and filmed in the freaking air above clouds. LITERALLY!! That's a thing, I cant make this up! He was an awesome guy overall!

Now Lenny, my instructor, he was an experienced individual, who wasn't only good with skydiving itself, but great with people. Lenny taught me protocol and safety techniques while gearing up. But not only that, Lenny taught me along the way. He pointed out the cornfields, how the clouds felt, the acres of farm lands and so much more. This is what meaningful experiences are about, detail. Ultimately, what he did was made me comfortable about something that I had to build the courage to do. Would I do it again? Absolutely!! With a staff like this and atmosphere this friendly and welcoming, I would do it quite often.

In conclusion, trust, trust these people! While no training, equipment or person can prevent a malfunction, trust is what makes this an experience and Skydive Spaceland FL are trustworthy individuals. Thank you...
